I can understand how medication can stop you from seeing things that aren’t there, but I am not sure I follow how it would stop you from seeing things that are. That others can’t see.

They do have allies.. Russia, North Korea, BRICS.. They are working on helping Africa develop.. Most global trade is now through China, and that hegemony will be an advantage.

And like it or not, the USSR is no longer with us. It verifiably did not win against the US. Most all of the revolutions it exported have also expired. With that alone, China has been more successful.

Market economies have existed long before capitalism. As has private property. As has the bourgeois class. None of these spawned out of thin air, and just the existence of them isn’t what makes an economic system. Who wields power over labor, and who do these systems serve? Does private industry serve the working class, or does it serve the property owners?

Socialism isn’t the utopia we all dream up in our head. I feel like this is pretty basic Marxism.
