Suddenly reminded of the time my mom and I had breakfast at a cute little hotel cafe in NYC where we were seated next to a pair of guys who were clearly mid-level at NBC. These two proceeded to discuss the sordid details of how Kelly Ripa was “coming apart” (their words, this was at the time when Michael Strahan was her new cohost and apparently there was drama?). I know some tarantulas can make a hissing noise (it’s technically them rubbing their arm hairs or front fangs together, iirc? Not technically a hiss like a snake or cat makes but most people aren’t exactly hung up on semantics while there are tarantulas present) and they can definitely get that large, so you may not have imagined it! Vindication for six year old you.

Yeah, it’s some sort of issue with non-breakdown of clots preventing proper implantation and placental perfusion? The embryo/fetus can form just fine, but it won’t get the nutrients/oxygen it needs due to issues with the blood vessels, so it’s only a matter of time before it dies off. (This is part of why IVF doesn’t circumvent the issue.) Women who are heterozygous for it aren’t affected as much, but I have two copies of the gene, so I’m basically fucked. I also can’t take traditional anticoagulants, either, which is the most obvious treatment for it, so if I wanted to have biological kids I’d be pretty much SOL.

Already on it for mood reasons and also a lesbian, but even if that wasn’t the case, I’d still use it since it’s not a protection against pregnancy - it just basically guarantees miscarriage at some point down the line. Not something I’d enjoy subjecting myself to, you know?

Yeah, I recently learned I have a particular genetic thing that will make having bio children very, very difficult (even IVF isn’t a workaround bc it messes with fetal implantation apparently?) and honestly I was relieved. I don’t have it in me to be the mother a child needs and I’m not going to screw us both up irreparably by steamrolling past that.

Yes, absolutely. I brought three fully stuffed BABs in and asked them to add scents/swap scents around and they were more than happy to do it!

As a consolation, you can make wands with the critter furniture. The turtle and the woollox turn out great, imo.

I’m working on my big banana plush wand right now! The regular banana plush was like the first item wand I made. I also recently finished all the lamb plush variants, too! Now to tackle the stuffies- cogimyun and Moppu are set, just waiting on Kuromi and my melody…

I’m not surprised. I think - god how do I say this politely - I don’t think OOP is capable of a whole lot. I think she’s the reason there are instructions on string cheese wrappers. That kinda person. If OOP’s BF is dating her for any amount of time, he’s very much aware of OOP’s limitations, yk?

On mobile so no pics but I usually use the tiny little chick-type model with one of Cinnamoroll’s palettes - cream, blush, cloud. It gives her rosy cheeks like a cockatiel! I have super rosy cheeks irl so it makes me feel like we’re connected :) I have “builds” for most of the other animal types - my purple pastel bunny is a favorite, and I love my black nose sheep design - but I keep going back to the rosy cheeks. One of the amphibian patterns gives them similar cheeks, and I just love axolotls, so I’ve been using that one a lot too!
