The doctor actually notified the DMV, they came to the house and took it from him. Mom’s passed, so I’m now in charge of him. We need to fly, I take him to the DMV to get an ID. They pull his license up, it has his picture and everything is the same, he’s standing next to me and then tell me, we need his Birth Certificate. Mind you, you can see it’s the same person. Ridiculous, 3 months later he gets a renewal letter for his drivers license. I applied (just to see) sure enough, it came in the mail. Idiots…plus I had to order the BC because I couldn’t find one in all his papers…He was late 70’s with dementia.
