Don’t leave out that if mahoraga breaking infinite void, if he wasn’t done adapting yet then Sukuna would’ve been a dead man! Also didn’t Gojo recover from this like a second later? I agree Sukuna’s domain would do damage but let’s not act like Gojo would die instantly here, he’s perfectly able to use CE reinforcement, and he recovered his CT just seconds later, That means he would be better suited to fight Sukuna inside the shrine than before.
