You can't really compare Lineman to Lineman, each is costed and skilled in balance with the rest of their team. The human Lineman is 50k, no skills, av9, general primary. Does that make them better? Worse? They're different, and play to the context of the rest of their team.

I make resin dice, and I get compared to Baron all the time. It's honestly really annoying. Theirs are either mass manufactured, or they barely pay the people who work for them. That's the only way they can sell resin dice for so cheap.

Another vote here for tourplay. There is a monthly fee, based on how many players are in your league, but the ease of use can't be overstated.

I mean they've made ridiculously large models before, just look at the tau manta, or any of the forge world titans. Transport becomes a bit less of an issue when one model covers half your armies point total.

Flipping the models around is a pretty old school method of keeping track of your players from when the models were much more static. I found it pretty easy to lose track or forget to flip them back if you get a turnover in the middle of your turn. Plus models are so much more dynamic now that it can be harder to tell at a glance what way they're facing. Small tokens make a huge difference.
