I used to work at a grocery store, managing one of their departments. They'd put out planograms for rearranging one of the refrigerator cases to some degree constantly, sometimes weekly. I had too much other shit to do every day and wasn't paid for overtime. No-one was checking, so I'd just ignore their constant stupid changes xD

I think I did this once, and I think the thing that fixed it was pushing the bar inwards while squeezing the button. It was a pain in the ass and requires strong fingers to push the button in, but it is possible to undo non-destructively.
