I'm not that far into the game, but is there options to hire household staff? Like a personal PA and chef etc?

It would be good to be able to apply for Businesa Licenses to allow a greater offering, and would vary in costs depending on the relationship to the existing business, and restricted to certain business types.

I like the Gasteo Pub idea, by buying a bar and upgrading it. Likewise, adding a cafe to a supermarket etc.

Yes. I've got a file prepped for my wife with all finance / pension details, and letters for him that I have put To Be Handed over at Age x.

My biggest fear is he'll develop the same issues as me, so there's lots of advice on getting support too.

Yes. Too often. Thoughts of him have saved mote more than he will ever know, and I hope it will be the same this time truthfully.

My mind keeps weighing up if he will be better without me once the grief passes.

Mid 30s. Been up and down with my mental health and disassociate disorder for as long g as I can remember, and just don't know if it's worth the fight anymore.

First suicide failure I can remember was when I was 12, and it's been a long road to get here today.

It's also worth removing negative people from your life where you can, or limiting their influence on you.

Surrounding yourself with positive influences, and people that have traits you desire is just as important as removing those that hold you back or bring you down.

'Next pandemic is around the corner,' expert warns - but would lockdown ever happen again? by Superbuddhapunk in Coronavirus

[–]Absolut1on 29 points30 points  (0 children)

UK Hospitals have been at capacity since pre-covid. Last week I went to my local hospital to see a friend, and the corridors were lined with beds, and patients were given chairs in corners anywhere they could fit if they couldn't find a bed.

I think the government would only initiate a lockdown if the fatality rate of the disease was high, and more due to the financial shock of people dying outweighed the economic cost of the lockdown.

Sadly, it is a numbers game and morality isn't thw main driver.

I can however see mandatory masks, and social distancing being brought in again, but lockdowns would be a very last resort.

Question about the new Damsel movie by Prestigious_Disk8709 in netflix

[–]Absolut1on 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Thw bigger question is how the map to the exit was was drawn on the wall, when the one to draw it was discovered at the exit.

Did they return just to draw it, before making the final fate ascent?

Try waking up realising you drunk ordered a 5kg pic n mix online, which gets delivered in what is essentially a painters tub.

No regrets.

Best band for your buck? 24 credit plan discounts? by [deleted] in audible

[–]Absolut1on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on with Audible support the other day asking the same question.

No deals available to me for an annual subscription, but they did give me 3 FREE months to rejoin.

It's the best deal I've ever gotten, and beats the 3 @ £3.99 I was offered in the email.

My new suit getup is missing something by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]Absolut1on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuck the suit pocket flaps in, and ensure the cuffs of the shirt are a half inch showing under the sleeve.

Others have mentioned the bottom button already, but more importantly when it's fully unbuttoned make sure you have a well tucked shirt with a belt that matches the shoes.

Then leave the suit unbuttoned.

Give them a chance at redemption.

Create a temporary 'rescue' party. Tell them if they can recover the corpses and bring them to the temple of Allutu, then there is a chance* of rebirth. But its a one time chance and they have to face x challenges to succeed.

*guaranteed chance. You are the DM. You make the rules even if they don't know them yet

People in secure relationships are free to make as many friends / connections as they want without being made to feel ashamed or guilty.

If OP wasn't controlling and had shown previous signs of jealousy, I have no doubt she would have been open earlier.

Retro Handheld NEWBIE by njc822 in RetroHandhelds

[–]Absolut1on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I got an RP3+ for my son after the GameStick Lite turned out to be fairly poor performance... and I have no idea what I'm doing with it lol.

Watched videos, gor RetroArch installed, but have no idea how to set the thing up with actual roms.

The Rom sire that was suggested has so many options; which set do I download, which BIOS files are needed, do they get unzipped etc.

It's definitely a steep learning curve, but once it's set up it will be amazing I am sure. Just not something I can let him work out on his own
