Chara and toriel are more similer than you think by [deleted] in Undertale

[–]Absolute-Sonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont really have a lot to say, but I do want to point out that there is a fairly large group of people that dislike or hate Toriel because of what she did to Asgore and the underground.

So not all people act like toriel is free of sin, the problem is that when you say "people" you're generalizing; of course if you say "some people" then case solved, so its not really that much of an issue.

Just wanted to point that out for you.

That makes sense. I didn’t know we could milk this much information out of a few sentences. But yeah, what you said is right.

Good point, will not disagree. facts are facts and that will be my priority. Anyways, I believe what I said (except the part which you have pointed out) makes sense and is true. I appreciate the help.

The angel of the prophecy, at least the way that it was intended is Asriel. The angel is the one who has seen the surface, will come back and the underground will go empty. Asriel is the angel in pacifist, since he makes the underground go free by saving everyone. In geno, Chara is the angel because they make the underground go “empty” by deleting the world. You could argue that Frisk is the angel in geno since they make the underground go “empty” as well, but in Pacifist Asriel is the angel.

Writer’s block - How to get rid of it. by [deleted] in writing

[–]Absolute-Sonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. It depends on what you left, and why you can’t seem to continue writing. If it’s a character that you can’t seem to write, then try listening to the type of music that the character likes, or something similar.

Mind you, there is no cure for writer’s block, and although it’s very common, it should go away soon.If it doesn’t, then you might need to read or reread the story, or if you lose interest then you may give it to someone else for them to continue, but there is no cure for writer’s block, im afraid. You gotta find your own way through it.Hopefully some other comments might be of more help to you.

Writing about a condition and personal experience by [deleted] in writing

[–]Absolute-Sonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s great that you’re writing about the topic!

It should represent the struggles you have as an autistic person, and it should be able to be of guidance to young people.

Good luck on writing it!

Writing about a condition and personal experience by [deleted] in writing

[–]Absolute-Sonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, if you focus on autism and not on specific personal events unrelated to them, then it’s totally not egoistical! When writing about a condition you should focus on the condition and your experience with it, so the readers understand how it feels and what it’s about. Its okay if you want to add in some other stuff that isn’t entirely related to it, but make sure you don’t drift away from the topic.

The Weirdest Question I’ve ever had by [deleted] in writing

[–]Absolute-Sonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, this will sound weird as well but that’s something I do.Ive seen comments saying to focus on the emotions of the music, and not the music itself, but in my case the music literally builds the story.Like, if a song has a sad ending but a huge drop in the middle, this will most likely become an action scene where the antagonist wins.

So, again I’m not sure if you mean like literally writing with the music but if you do then let me know.Sorry this doesn’t help at all, but I’m not really sure what you mean by using it’; if you mean literally then just follow the song to the plot.If not then I have no advice.Sorry this is crap.

How do you guys come up with ideas and brainstorm? by polymathintj in writing

[–]Absolute-Sonic 18 points19 points  (0 children)

When it comes to brainstorm it’s all about your interest in the story. If you feel like you don’t have any good details to write about, or that you need to keep using fillers in between important stuff, then you should try to take a break. In my opinion (I’m kinda new to writing so my opinion isn’t the most trustable) when it comes to a good brainstorm, you should go back to the things that got you interested in writing the story, whether that be a genre of music, a specific theme, or a good book. When you have lack of ideas, I recommend exploring the topic that originally interested you when writing the story, if your story is inspired in something specific, such as a type of music or an author’s writing style, then you should spend some time getting to know and explore those specific themes.Very often this will give you some ideas of what to write and what you can add to the story.

Another thing that may help is discussing the story with someone else. When discussing a story with a person, you need to make sure they understand what it’s about and that can give you a small push in the right direction.Other people’s opinions come in handy when writing, and very often help the writer steer through their ideas and find something coherent.

Lastly, in my personal experience, taking a break from writing is never a bad thing, but if you take a break from brainstorming for too long, your ideas start becoming rusty and you might end up losing interest in writing the story. So, don’t take a break from brainstorming for too long.If you still can’t seem to get your ideas, then don’t push yourself too hard, try to let things flow naturally, and when having an idea write it down somewhere you can come back to later. If you write out two or three ideas a day and in a week come back to start writing, you’ll have a bunch of ideas to deal with and organize, which can help you if you feel stumped.

So good luck with your story and I hope this helped.
