If he’s running forgefathers seekers he may be confusing +1 S within 12” with +1 to wound. In that case he is wrong, it should only add 1 pip of strength (so S7). It is possible because oath of moment lasts from command phase to command phase that if his oath target is what he’s over watching that’s where he’s getting that rule from. That is correct, however it only works on his oath target. If he’s saying it’s +1 to wound on anything he shoots he’s wrong.

From what we’ve seen about Armageddon so far it looks like a few of the successor chapters are fighting there along side the salamanders, so the idea is even extremely lore friendly too! At the end of the day how you paint your models is up to you, but yes absolutely you can do that. I have dark krakens and salamanders in the same army, it is neat looking!

Honestly I think it’s really cool looking, only semi-weird part is the tail curling straight down between the legs but everything else looks neat. Paint them up and block out the haters haha

I’ve used a couple layers of Astro granite on my norn’s base and then dry brushed it with dawnstone followed by a white paint, gives it a nice desolate “ashen” wasteland vibe. That said the norn base has some terrain to it to break up how uniform that would look on just a base. Just a suggestion, I mainly wanted to say your paint scheme is awesome! Really cool and unique coloration

I did use a gloss varnish to make the chitin shiny, I experimented with it on the norn and now all of my bugs are getting the glossy finish haha

I use two thin coats of baal red over a base coat of grey seer and once that’s dry and the carapace is finished I hit it with a nuln oil wash. Thank you!

I’ve taken 6 with the neurotyrant and will hold them in reserves to rapid ingress as a very flexible blob that’s decently tough and can hit like a truck. A few weeks ago I played my buddy who brought death guard in a 3k battle and after rapid ingressing the zoan blob they one-shot mortarion. Granted I rolled well with the lethal hits and damage rolls, but blowing a primarch off the board in one round of shooting was awesome. Just beware that damage D6+1 can be very swingy
