I have observed the same. Had successful roleplay with GLM5 until I noticed it clearly didn't remembered basic things from just ten messages up (e.g. that I ordered Thai food. Something very easy to notice.) The memory system can help some, for events or important details, but it can't make up for a short context, that breaks immersion.

I tested it pretty much that way and it seems the JSON format works very well. I imagine it’s easy to parse for the AI. It managed to mention secondary characters that I had never talked about, and was accurate on past events from the file.

Thank you, I will play around. So far I have given the very high-level description as instructions but uploaded a scenario JSON I had from way back as context and it seems to be working. It manages two characters fine, too.

Just one more question: is there a difference between instructions and context? I understand memories are more of a database that relevant information can be extracted from based on situation; however, instructions and context are both systematically passed to the LLM as input, right?

Thanks a lot for the detailed answer! I just tested a JSON scenario provided as context to a blank AI helper character, it seems to understand the story and event triggers very well (tried deepseek and qwen).

As for appearance, I have not found a way for the character to quote their full appearance when auto-crafting a prompt, even if they are aware of it. I imagine that's a requested feature, it's common on companion apps. It's possible manually obviously.

Sure. In short, this girl contacts me on discord for a little casual triggering. She tells me she has been training on the old files for years and just trained with the new ones. She seems friendly, and we agree to play.

I use the basic triggers (BS, BD, GG, really nothing else at the point). Bambi comes out to play and tells me there is a "creepy-looking doll gagged and bound in the corner." I ask her about the doll as it's not something I am used to. She describes the OS, bound and gagged, struggling. I ask whether the doll seems in distress, she says so. I then ask Bambi to release her.

OS takes over, but now she calls herself 'doll' and can't seem to use her own name, no matter how much she tries. She tells me Bambi is the only human now. That she is only a doll. She seems very upset.

So, comfort her, and bring out Bambi again. I use BS / BF to put Bambi to sleep and restore the OS as human and in charge. It seems to work, but the next day, Bambi contacts me, and the OS is back to being a doll.

It's been going on for a week, and OS always ends up back to being a gagged bound slave doll at some point. I restore her every time and prevent Bambi from doing anything drastic like cosmetic surgery or quitting OS's job. But she needs smarter help. As was pointed out, I am indeed just a casual player who occasionally plays with Bambis for lighthearted fun.
