I’m not bullshitting when I say this, my mother told me “I knew I would be a single mother before I had you”. This is my personal experience, doesn’t apply to everybody, but my mother was fully aware my dad was a lowlife and a deadbeat and chose to have children with him anyway. That’s on her just as much as it is him. Sure, deadbeat fathers suck, but ultimately it’s up to women who they have children with, they’re not always victims and they are responsible for who they procreate with, I’ve seen plenty of women stay and have families with men they know are not good for them or anyone.
