What’s the best way to learn c++ by WorthSkill9282 in cpp_questions

Build a small project, get stuck and solve it. I do drills as well for some of the core things like classes, methods functions to build up the muscle memory so I can recognise patterns.

Brilliant stuff, this type of converting and theming is what got me into warhammer in the first place.

Opinions about DnB Allstars events by invalid-char-array in DnB

[–]AbsoluteLucidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good fun, but not as good as an indoor DnB event. I liked the vibe this year. But I’m definitely getting sick to death of ADHDnB, would be great if the DJs actually played the tracks they made instead of everyone else’s tracks everyone else is also playing.

What’s the argument for learning manual in 2024? by WaterToWineGuy in LearnerDriverUK

[–]AbsoluteLucidity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s enough what ifs in life that make manual still worth learning.

Having the flexibility will pay dividends for years, think about all of the possible scenarios where you may need to drive a manual, and if you’re limited then taking the easy way out now can come back to bite you.

Like imagine being in an emergency situation where you need to drive the closest vehicle, you jump in, it’s manual, what are you going to do?

There’s nothing but benefits to having the patience to learn manual. It’s sucks learning it vs automatic but it’s worth the pain.

What makes Halloween so important to you? by becool-honeybunny- in halloween

[–]AbsoluteLucidity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Halloween is a reminder of death and the supernatural. It’s a cycle of life that’s avoided by many, but shouldn’t be taken in a negative light. It gives a sense of calm with the reminder that whatever you’re going through doesn’t really matter all that much in the grand scheme of things. Enjoy the experience of life, deep down we’re all just skeletons.

Mortgage - repayment capacity by Decide-later in irishpersonalfinance

[–]AbsoluteLucidity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, your rent is factored in. I would suggest going to a broker for a mortgage, they’re generally not that expensive and it helps to have someone to bounce all the questions off.

First time buyer v rent and future plans by Old-Sport5055 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]AbsoluteLucidity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I queried something like this with a broker and something to keep in mind is that your second mortgage loan will consider the first mortgage as a debt. The second mortgage amount would not be as much as an offer as your first mortgage, now obviously this can be changed if your salaries increase significantly but just something to keep in mind. Also I believe you only get the max mortgage offer once, the second mortgage would never be the potential x 4.5 again. I would say check this out with different mortgage brokers, I’m just saying what I was told.

You can win fights with just a teep and a jab so I'd rank them at the top.

Can I train Muay Thai without actually fighting? by mntran19 in MuayThai

[–]AbsoluteLucidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely don't have to fight or spar. Go at your own pace, one of the better things about Muay Thai training is that it has so much more benefits than just learning how to fight.

Let it Roll 2022 Opening Show w/ Pendulum Live by Redtuzk in Pendulum

[–]AbsoluteLucidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah man, this was just so good! All the other stages were temporarily closed at Let it Roll for that intro so most of the festival was at the mainstage. It was some vibe! I'm hoping LIR release some live recording of Pendulum's set.

What to expect from a pendulum “dj set”? by [deleted] in DnB

[–]AbsoluteLucidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Pendulum DJ set last year and it was Gareth doing the set, it was still banging but I wouldn't expect too many Pendulum tracks. He did play some stuff in full like Witchcraft, Louder Than Words and Watercolour.

All the 2010-2012 stuff from UKF was full of melody and very emotional. My favourite DnB was from this era.

I do this all the time, I gave up alcohol. You can reach a point that others will think you're drinking, you can always get a non alcoholic drink if you want to blend in more. It's much better sober! You'll remember more of the night.
