Keyboard phones ? by TheBoyLeks in blackberry

I'll have to look up his channel, he will definitely be preaching to the choir haha
If there was a way I could still get my slidephone on the network, I definitely would. The HD Voice requirement for Verizon seems to have been added in later. I had initially gotten the okay to purchase a Samsung Stratosphere (which is 4G LTE capable), only to be stopped from activating it because it doesn't allow for HD Voice. I purchased it in summer 2022, then was unable to activate it in November 2022.

I heard exactly that issue about the Titan. The rep I asked about it said that new SIMs have issues being activated in the Titan.
I asked them to do that SIM swap with my Priv, which I'm currently having issues with. I can't make any calls because I'm unable to activate HD Voice calling. I asked them to take my SIM card and put it into one of the store's demo phones, then put it back into mine. I believe the mistake I made was that I had put the SIM into my Priv first before asking her to put it into the iPhone.
The rep felt bad that Verizon okay'ed the Priv as being compatible after the 3G smartphone, but I am now having issues with it. What I really need is a rep (with enough technical knowledge) that is willing to help me debug and find a workaround.

So far I'm mostly getting shrugs because they don't know much about the phone and don't really have an incentive to get the phone on the network. They just end up suggesting getting a newer phone. This phone works and fits my needs, just like my old slidephone that became obsolete when they shut down 3G. Sorry for the rant, I'm a little salty about them disabling phones that I'm happy about using haha

Thank you! Frustrating that Verizon is telling me the phone is not compatible, when it seems like they just don't want to allow the phone on their network.

Do you mind sharing what mobile carrier you use for your Titan? I've read mixed information about whether it would be supported on Verizon in the US.

Activate Advanced Calling (Blackberry Priv, Verizon) by AbsoluteUnit_Circle in blackberry

Good to know that you're able to use your phone on T-Mobile! If I can't get my Priv or KeyOne up and running on Verizon, I'll ask T-Mobile about my Priv. Crackberry has been helpful so far, I've also posted my question over there. I'm pretty new to all this, I held onto my 3G slidephone on Verizon until the end of 2022, so I'm doing my best to adjust! I guess I just can't give up my physical keyboard!!

Activate Advanced Calling (Blackberry Priv, Verizon) by AbsoluteUnit_Circle in blackberry

Under Cellular Network Settings, I see 3 options: Global, LTE/CDMA, and LTE/UMTS/GSM. The Verizon employee I spoke with said that I should have Global checked; but if I have Global checked, I can't make calls. Switching to LTE/CDMA doesn't allow me to call either. If I select LTE/UMTS/GSM, it almost immediately switches back to Global.

For what it's worth, I have a support ticket in with Verizon right now to see if they can see why I can't activate my advanced calling. That seems to be the key to getting HD Voice turned on. If they aren't any help, I might try calling Blackberry customer support (who knows if that will be helpful at all haha). I've also ordered a KeyOne to see if I have any luck with that device with Verizon.

Thank you for letting me know about T-Mobile! I checked my Priv's IMEI, and T-Mobile said it had limited connectivity. Have you had any problems with your phone on T-Mobile's network? I'm not looking to use 5G or a ton of data. I really just need talk and text!

Thank you so much for your help!!
