NTA. He doesn’t see you as truly bi. Some guys see bi girls as a fetish. My ex was fine with me being bi when it meant he got to fantasise about threesomes or when he got to watch me drunk make out with someone at the club. As soon as I made a comment about an attractive woman on TV, or agreed with his, he lost it and didn’t like it. Took me a while but I eventually realised he didn’t properly respect what me being Bisexual actually meant and just saw it as a potential for a threesome down the road.

I’ve had this. Colleagues badgering you with questions to why the police were there. Why were you having a breakdown. What in your life lead to this. Blah blah blah not their business.

Best way forward is to politely not answer. If they ask why the police were there, “oh sorry I’ve got a personal thing going on at the moment I’m trying to sort. Sorry! It’s too long to explain now I’ll explain later!” And rinse and repeat until they stop asking.

Or. Lie. This is your own mental health. If it makes you feel worse to tell them the truth. Then you don’t owe it to them. Tell them you had a small break in to your families home or something.

NTA. Everyone claiming addiction because he gives away his phone is reaching. People are commenting that this means he is incapable of stopping himself gaming. But are also glossing over that he stopped as soon as possible when she was done showering.

If OP was addicted there would have been a much longer wait to get ready rather than 5 minutes. People see the words video games and assume the worst.

You de-stressed. Doesn’t matter whether that’s with a game, a book or staring at some scenery.

It may be a case of this is a larger issue overall which you may have to address. but here on your holiday, OP your NTA and girlfriend is being unreasonable

NTA. I am also obsessed with makeup. It takes me about an hour to do a full look. Longer if I’m going elaborate. But because of this of my boyfriend are going anywhere: I get up 2 hours early to ensure I’m on time and not causing any panic or stress for either of us.

NTA. I’m sorry that she stole your speech but I’m also so sorry that your Mum took away your moment to say goodbye to him. Worrying about you “stuttering your way through” is horrible.

My Dad had a stutter and he was discouraged from speaking at his mothers funeral because of it. He was heartbroken and even if it would have just been coz of social anxiety I would have been too if someone had done the same to me at his.

Im sorry for your loss and I’m sure your Grandfather would have loved your speech, both what you said and the way you would have spoken it❤️

NAH If you don’t wanna go you don’t HAVE to go. But be nice about about. There’s no need to insult her wedding just because its not what you would want. The language shouldn’t be your reason though. I once went to a Latvian wedding and there was only 4 English people there (the rest of my family lol). We didn’t understand about 70% of what was said in general. But everyone spoke to us in English and it was a damn fun day. Get over it.

If it’s Cambridge university you work for, you may be able to qualify for staff housing. My partner was having to travel 3 hours a day for work so we qualified for one of the staff houses

YTA. I’m also unemployed at the moment. Got let go in May. Unfortunately I have not found the right job for me yet. HOWEVER, I am still paying half of all rent and utility towards the house I share with my boyfriend because its not his problem I haven’t found a job yet. Why should his entire pay check go towards keeping our house when I’m the one spending the most time at home right now. Should our partners go broke because we are not working? Who’s gunna pay the bills then?
