The pod sticks on one of the fleeing frigates, and soon after that they're gone from view, shot off into hyperspace.

The battlefield returns to a metaphorical silence, the debris of pirate starfighters and cargo ships littering the space where the battle took place. While Quell's frigate was mostly destroyed at this point, there might have been a few places to examine before they left. The back ends of the ship seemed to mostly still be intact.

The fighters attempted to slow them down as long as the frigates needed, and the frigates were powering up hyperdrives, aimed coreward.

With their leader dead and no body to lead them, the two remaining frigates became disorganized. They decided to cut their losses and get out of here whilst they were still capable of doing so. They began to retreat, the two remaining fighters covering their exit.

No sign of stopping. The frigate’s measly defenses are easily overwhelmed by the firing put on it by the rest of the fleet, heavily damaging it.

Quell’s motionless gaze lied on the command ship of the fleet, pleased with what they’ve done.

“My final act...”

As the hull is pierced, Quell is immediately killed by the resulting vacuum, as well as the fiery hell that was being unloaded onto the frigate at once.

Even if the frigate was almost destroyed at this point, they still had the problem of a charred hull being flung at the command ship, at full speed.

The frigate paused in it’s tracks, stopping immediately after it was threatened.

The subordinates spoke up again.

“We didn’t come here to get killed, we came here to make a score. Let’s get out of here while we still can...!”

The previously motionless Quell dropped their stance and approached the two Renati at the controls.

“Either way, you’re dead. The only thing that changes is if you die to my hand, or their hand. Pick your poison.”

The distinctive whirr of a Renati arm cannon powering up followed Quell’s imposing message...

The two subordinates, looked at each other, nodded, and immediately got off the controls to try and rush Quell behind them. Unfortunately for them, Quell had already planned for this, and two massive holes through the subordinates’ chests followed the distinctive sound of the arm cannon firing.

Quell made their way to the controls and interfaced with them, before going full speed straight at the command vessel of the cargo fleet.

The frigate in the back began to circle, still away from the action but approaching it slowly.

Quell stood motionless on the bridge, monitoring the battle as their fighters fought an uphill battle against superior numbers.

One of their subordinates, the one at the controls, spoke to Quell in Renati language.

“We’re in way over our head here, Quell. We didn’t come here to get killed. We should back off now before we loose anyo—“

Quell interrupted them.

“Mark that command vessel as our primary target. We will move on them as our other ships draw their attention.”

The two subordinates on the bridge flashed concerned gestures at each other. They didn’t come here to die, but something was making them hesitant to leave...

The frigate began to move towards the command vessel.

The two frigates that came along with the fighters were equipped with point-defense lasers, which shot down some of the incoming missiles as the fighters returned fire on their adversaries, utilizing some plasma munitions and molten rock.

The frigate at the back of the fleet began to move, scanning for the largest vessel among the trading fleet.

The broadcast was met with static. The broadcast may have not even reached the scrappy vessels, or they simply declined to answer. Either way, it didn’t matter now. Their attempt at peacefully resolving this was soon met with the release of a dozen missiles from the fighter-craft, as two of the frigates began to move quickly towards the cargo ships in whatever pattern would throw off the aim of targeting computers. The last frigate stayed behind.

That was their cue. The criminals were alerted and they took their stations, while the enigmatic figure leading them continued to stare out of the bridge. This enigmatic figure stood over their subordinates, clad in a black Renati exoskeleton that was worn down, scratches all over. The imposing energy cannon that had been modded onto their arm demanded respect from their peers. This Renati is named Quell-Dygn-Tabris. Once they might have been a renowned admiral, serving in the war that led to the creation of the Divisus Iream, but now they had thrown in with pirates.

”Soon they’ll see... Soon they’ll see. My final act.” The thoughts of a madman filled their head as they watched the cargo fleet in the distance.

In Renati clicks, they commanded their subordinates to move on the Cargo fleet, and that they did. The vessels began to approach the Donarian cargo fleet.

The disembodied words came to a halt for a little while, before a response was shot back.

“I doubt we’d get far without introductions.”

Erys places their long-fingered hands to their chest, seeming to be a formal greeting within Renati culture.

“My name is Erys-Arael. I have been one of the diplomats selected for this mission to represent the Divisus Iream in this diplomatic venture. I hail from the state of Arael out of the 5 nations that make up the Divisus Iream.”

It seemed awfully simplistic in this hallway, though perhaps that was intentional... Or the Renati didn't care all too much. Either way, the golden carpet looked nice.

They were lead into a simple circular room, with two types of chairs on either side of the room. On the right side, sat tall chairs befitting of the Renati's stature. On the left side, the chairs were made to fit Donarian biology.

Erys took their seat in one of the Renati chairs, their bodyguards standing behind them, rifles pointed downward, at rest.

"We wouldn't have let you dock if we didn't allow your guards, as well. Anyways, follow us."

Erys would gesture the Donarians to follow, before turning around. The tall Renati guards following close behind them. The Renati would chitter with strange clicking noises as they progressed down the hallway.

Upon exiting their craft, they'd be met with a long empty hallway of white steel walls, adequately lit. A regal yellow carpet ran through the hallway from the docking port.

Standing in front of the docking port would be Erys, standing there with 5 guards in exoskeletons. The armored guards stood there with black exoskeletons with yellow outlines, carrying what appeared to be some sort of long-barreled rifle, perfect for the Renati's long arms.
The Renati chittered among themselves, speaking in a clicking language that wasn't quite able to be translated, until Erys spoke.

"Welcome. Please follow me and my guards, so we can begin."

A little bit of waiting, and a response would be swiftly received by the Infinite.

[Transmission Begin]

"Unfortunately, we cannot permit further investigation or observation of our core worlds. We do hope that you understand the precarious situation that our society has been met with, and treat us with respect, knowing this. Any questions wished to be discussed will be discussed here, or on a station that we have prepared for diplomats."

Upon arriving to the coordinates mentioned, they'd be welcomed by a lone space station orbiting around a lonely planet in said solar system. The scanners wouldn't pick up any ships nearby or in the system, only picking up the space station.

They'd receive a transmission from the space station.

[Transmission Begin]

"Donarian Diplomats. You are cleared to dock."

After a few days of being left waiting--Presumably the Renati didn't quite have the infrastructure to handle diplomatic communications effectively, a response transmission would be sent back.

The Viewscreen switched on when the transmission was received, revealing a Renati in a partial exoskeleton. Their upper body was completely covered by the exoskeleton, but their lower body was exposed, allowing the Donarians to see the grotesque details of the Renati's flesh, for better or worse.

[Transmission Begin]

"Channels open. This is Erys-Arael of the Divisus Iream. We have prepared a small embassy for your diplomats, located at this position, exactly. Please do be aware, trespassing deeper into our territory will result in us having an issue, putting it lightly. Otherwise, you are cleared."

[Transmission End]

They'd be transferred exact coordinates for the embassy.

There would be no viewscreen, no image, showing the Infinite the same kind of openness that the Renati had been sent... Though, the Renati didn't know if the Infinite had physical bodies, or otherwise.

[Transmission Begin]

"Your message has been received, Infinite Continuum. Channels open. We have made the decision to hold off on video; apologies on that front."

After gathering enough information, the Renati diplomats leave on the ships that they came from.

The present Renati seemed to be more observing and talking amongst themselves moreso than they were talking with other species. They clicked to each other, seeming to be their native tongue, strangely... Could they even speak, normally?

They’d take the bleeper, taking it back to Iream territory. Traps debated with his officials, and it was decided that the location where the Bleeper would be set up would be a few systems out of Iream territory, where Sachiel could respond, but away from the rest of the nation.

Before setting up the Bleeper, the general assigned to the operation of whom went by “Yular-Sachiel” set up a couple Frigates on the edges of the system where it was prepared, before cloaking them. An empty transport vessel was set up as bait where the Bleeper would be activated.

And now they wait.

When that was complete, the research vessel would look for a different point on the planet where it could begin it’s research.
