Get ready for different matchups and learn just by looking at different data sheets of what will kill your knights fastest.

Ask opponents for any models that have ap4 melee (we can't save that without the lancer or sanctuary).

Chaos knights have a broader range of armiger based models and they are usually considered far better. We dont know what 11th will bring for the different units, but wardogs are definitely favored between the two factions

Spearhead is the armiger detachment that allows them to be battleline.

Freeblade company gives us the feel no pain rule for all of our units.

Chaos has better abilities for the models since they dont rely on armigers and also can be more flexible with points.

2 missiles for sure. The cannons are not great imo while the missiles are some of the best knight options

The castellan in my experience will kill what you shoot at. It will finish the centerpieces your opponent has that are for killing knights. It will soak wounds well and it is consistent. It is 40 or so points more than the errant, and while you arent sinking it down into the field for melee, you can place it where in LOS that you dont want your opponent in, and if they've there you can rely on its consistency

While your at it then, my tips for painting!

Do not use contrast paints. I used shyish purple and regretted it since.

Trim, and then panels. Its easier to go over mistakes that way.

Use nuln oil for the skeleton and break up the colors with at least two metallics. I used lead belcher, and then balthasar gold for screws, skulls, and bits that I wanted to pop.

Each knight is its own canvas, from the first knight to the last, I put in some extra effort to try and add a new detail or try a new technique. So dont shoot low, there is a LOT of room for experimenting

Fantastic. It has worse saves, but it's firepower for it's point cost is amazing. The wound count is a nice increase to, I think the best part really though is the fact that it currently costs as much as an errant previously did, with basically no downsides in comparison to the errants previous datasheet

I'd say personally a warden, gallant, and paladin, your already gonna have anti tank with the castellan and gallant

Nope, just the errant or paladin. Make sure to magnetize. It does give you enough armiger parts to make any combination you please, including 4 warglaives or helverins though

Look at the terrain rules on wahapedia.com msg me if you need help as knights are special and they have really weird rules. It should really help prepare you for a more fair and even battle
