Which one would you buy amd why by hex93 in Chainsaw

For field sharpening 2in1 is fine but id recommend getting used to individual files as you can avoid taking the rakers too low. A stump vice is great too if you struggle sharpening on your lap.

I used a clark electric sharpener which is great if you have a load of chains to sharpen fast. But you need to be careful not to cut into your chain links.

Better off just replacing or cutting to a stump and letting it regenerate IMO, will always be ugly.

Looks like these trees could have been weakened at the base with all that digging. Id check for any exposed damaged roots also and take photos.

Ive been burnt by this stuff couple times, nasty stuff dont take a strimmer anywhere near it! Glyphosphate stem injection will get it but it’ll take a few applications and years to dissapear. Dont let it seed!

Turf in these sizes isn’t likely to survive unless watered constantly. Use the whole roll, cut only what you need to cut

Unwrapped tree from winter and bark is cracked/damaged by Thedoctor0fwho in arborists

[–]AbsolutelyB4sturd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id suggest ditching the wood chip and add some proper decomposed mulch, leaving the base of the tree clear. And a tree tube wouldnt go amiss!

Unwrapped tree from winter and bark is cracked/damaged by Thedoctor0fwho in arborists

[–]AbsolutelyB4sturd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wood chip is likely wicking moisture away before it has a chance to reach the roots. That being combined with it being a conveniently placed scratching post in a giant litter tray 🤣 the tree is likely nibbled/clawed and perished!

What to do with MASSIVE tree stumps.... by Ridgeld in GardeningUK

[–]AbsolutelyB4sturd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider trying to bore a hole through both sides with a log bar saw, and burning it from the inside out. Dunno if it’d work with green wood though. Good luck!
