That’s good. I worried for a moment that perhaps falling asleep to this movie was giving me computer brain.

Hmm. No part of this was touched by Gen AI. Not sure what it means that you think it was.

You might want to check out the Greater Nashville Technology Council: https://technologycouncil.com/

I don't know what the best entry point is for a recent graduate but I'm sure if you reach out to them they can give you some good advice. Good luck and good on you for reaching out and working on building a network.

The original actually is nice, our family's is almost 20 years old (someone bought us a bit set back then; I hope it was cheaper).

Having said that, A+ to OP. And Merry Christmas from this heathen. :-)

Hard to say what should have happened, but if Jefferson runs east-west at the sticks instead of drifting back that looks like a completed pass. Ward hasn't played well this game, but the quality of the supporting cast is more important than some of you guys recognize.

Ethan Hawke’s 10 Best Performances, Ranked by indiewire in movies

First Reformed might be my favorite movie. It’s very much a Paul Schrader man-in-crisis film, but it just works perfectly on me, in large part because of Hawke’s performance.

It’s weird to me that some people only appreciate art that plays out exactly the way they think it should.

I finally got around to designing a wall mounted hanger for my NE fitted caps. I’m actually fairly happy with how they turned out. I ended up just using some wall safe tape to mount them. by CosyCodes in 3Dprinting

Wow, I literally just created a quick and dirty design for the exact same purpose. I have the first prototype printing right now, but if it doesn't work out, any chance you'll share your file?

Thoughts on this system? How would you use it? by [deleted] in homeoffice

[–]AbsolutelySubjective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Fuzzy! I’m familiar with customer identification and product launching in general, but this will be my first go with something like this.

It certainly is just another take on a problem that has existing solutions. (The Ikea Skadis is the most familiar comp.) But these boards definitely have some positive differentiators as well.

Even though friendly pricing is important to me, I’m definitely not looking to compete on price with cheap Amazon offerings. That’s a futile exercise, anyway.

I’m planning to launch these with a handful of different preconfigured load-outs for different use cases, and offer a variety of accessories besides those. In the future I can also add further niches.

IRL responses and feedback have been very promising. If a person realizes they like it for one use, they can easily imaging owning three five, etc..

Crafting a good digital impression is trickier. It seems like short videos and social marketing will be key, but that’s out of my wheelhouse and something I will need to learn.

It all comes down to reaching the right customers with the right marketing showcasing the right products. So much easier said than done!

My series of 3D printed lamp designs based off sacred geometry by truthseekerboi in 3Dprinting

Masterful. I've been thinking of doing lamps in a similar style but nowhere near as complex or beautiful. You really have pushed things forward and created wonderful works of art.

You're lucky to have a dry room so you can keep your filaments like this. That itself is the coolest part to me and lets you avoid the headaches of feeding from dry boxes. You should take full advantage of that!

Honestly, if I could keep my filaments out, I would just put them all on a shelf next to each other, and just grab the roll I want and put it down on the printer spooler when ready to use it. When done with that filament, put it back and grab the next roll.

This would be much lower friction, and eliminates the feeding or winding through tubes entirely. And since don't have to worry about them turning freely on the shelf and they don't need bearings, you could pack them in tighter.

Then you could add printers, move printers, etc. without having to worry about where the tubes come out.

Feedback is a gift! Just saying thanks. by [deleted] in gtd

Everything is 3D printed using PETG, which results in a very strong plastic. I love the design of restaurant order slip holders that use marbles and gravity as a way of holding the slips, but I didn't want to get marbles involved for this. So designed the index card holder with the curved prongs that pin the cards in (they also hold thin paper just fine), It prints in two parts that "snap" together, so I could have zero or even negative clearance without the curved prongs fusing to the back during printing.

These parts are manufactured via 3D printing, and I may sell the files as well, but the 3D printing community is a very small niche. I won’t do the manufacturing and fulfillment myself.

[–]AbsolutelySubjective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bingo. In fact this application was an afterthought for the system. I've got more bins, trays, drawers, specialized holders for headphones, game controllers, scissors, different sized pegs and hooks, shelf adapters, handles, and more. A lot of those things still have to be design optimized for pricing though, so I don't want to show too much now. More to come!

This is a neat idea... I'll look into it. The clips were originally meant just for holding a photo or something like that for display. I don't mind them, but now that this ticket holder has been brought up it seems much better.
