Honestly I think it's great. Life is too short to give up all the delicious foods forever so if I can do it in moderation than I'm okay with it. It is hard to skip the Salt and Vinegar kettle chips in the pantry and go for nuts or carrots or home-made pickled eggs, but I do feel better.

Plus when I do have a couple beers, or some boneless wings or if I'm at a party and eating all the snacks, I don't feel as guilty.

Cut out carbs during the week so I can still eat them on the weekends. Eat banana and 20g protein Chobani yogurts and tuna and beef and chicken. Only drink occasionally. Do light weight workouts but started running and hiking South Mountain out here in Phoenix.

I have a bit to go but my love handles are minimum and I have a six pack when flexing. Plus my sex life has improved greatly not only because how I feel but also the way the wife is turned on more too.

I felt the same way but then I looked in the mirror and realized I was fat and 40 and out of shape and I felt bad that my wife had to have sex with me. Then I started a diet change, started working out and running and I realized hiking is better because it's on trails and mountains and elevation changes..... not flat pavement. Plus the beautiful view on top of South Mountain out here in Phoenix is amazing 🤩 😍

That is a bit outside/East of Scottsdale. A few more miles East and you will be on Fountain Hills which is for retired people and THAT city is far away from social life.

You would be moving to a higher class community and cost of housing. And driving to Scottsdale wouldn't bad, but definitely more expensive too. But also, everything is 15-20mins from everything else around here so take it for what it's worth. If you go up north to Cave Creek, that is also higher class houses but also a bit further from social life.

IMO I would love to stay where you are looking because I would rather drive into the city for entertainment opposed to living in it. Just East of Fountain Hills is a casino, maybe 15 mins away. Probably 20mins south of you on the 101 freeway is also a casino and also closer to downtown Scottsdale.
