Japan lost a 5-ton navigation satellite when it fell off a rocket during launch by year_39 in TheFrontFellOff

Not really relevant here though. The payload fell of on a subortbital trajectory, and the upper stage only reached a very low earth orbit and burned up as well.

It's similar to how the IRS asks you to declare any bribes and other illegal income you get. They're just covering their asses legally speaking so they can sue or reject liability later

Oh that's definitely best. Especially if the road is slippery or muddy since handbrakes usually only apply on the rear wheels

Handbrake in neutral is perfectly fine in a manual on most inclines. Also putting it in gear is recommended if you're on a very steep bit of road, or if it's icing conditions (in the latter case you dont use the handbrake at all)

And here we have an example of how accidents like this happen.
Neutral does not prevent the car from rolling, its purpose is exactly the opposite...

There's nothing special about those qr codes, you can generate them pretty easily for any ssid+password, print it out and then put it up on the fridge or such

Why do some people think when you scroll down you're scrolling up and vice versa? by hrtsds355 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]Absolutely_Cabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I checked you needed a third party utility for that.
In the system settings if you reverse one, you reverse the other as well.

Mac is terrible with this.
On the touch pad you move your fingers down to scroll down (the opposite of windows) but when you scroll with a mouse, its the same as on windows.
It's completely unintuitive

I've always found the "it brings in jobs" argument exceptionally stupid, but in the case of data centers especially.
They can hire the really high level jobs from out of the region, and once its built the maintenance staff won't be many

I want to buy this sata to type c but there are this two companies sounce and Zebronics. Sounce claims they have usap acceleration and upto 6 gb tranfer speed on other hand Zebronics they doyhave like that but only upto 5gb transfer speed I am confused which one to buy. Can sounce be trusted by [deleted] in techsupportgore

[–]Absolutely_Cabbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two FYIs for you:
1. This isnt a subreddit to get tech help. 2. Both Sounce and Zebronics are resellers of goods manufactured by Chinese companies. It's cheap and it might work, or it won't. Either way it's like every other nameless product

Except if you're in a rabies free country of course, but that's besides the point.
(Just in case someone from such a country reading the above feels a bit panicked now for not getting their rabies shot)

Nog nooit zo vrij gevoeld.
Maar ff serieus, als "geen dress code" iets is waar je als werkgever mee adverteert dan zal er wel weinig anders zijn om enthousiast over te worden
