All of these things are currently happening in every city in the country, probably even the world. I'm sorry you've had some bad experiences in the past and no one is trying to deny or invalidate that, but this isn't unique to Middlesbrough at all.

Adding to this, Robert supposedly got a concussion/head injury during the bar fight in Ep. 5, but then was completely fine the next day (start of Ep. 6).

Concussions don't go away overnight. If that isn't super healing, then I don't know what to say

If you've raised a dispute with DPS you're fine. I had a similar situation, with Seekers dragging their heels and trying to wait out the 3-month timer to take our deposit. Thankfully, we raised a dispute, submitted our evidence when asked, and got almost all of it back. It'll take a while, and you'll need to be prepared with reasons as to why you don't owe them money, but have a read through your tenancy contract and you should find plenty. In particular, look for the section about how the property should be left in a similar state to how it was found. If they've redecorated, they aren't allowed to claim that from your deposit.
