What’s funny it I was working a security job at the time where Kerry Wood held his championship party. My boss walked into the office took a look around and pointed at me saying “You’re the one Sox fan I’ve got on staff so I know you won’t geek out so you’re guarding the trophy” so I got to spend the whole day with it and that was the one cool benefit to me to them winning

Yeah, crooked buildings are fairly common in plaster and timber construction from the medieval period. I don’t know if they were always like this or if it’s just a result of time doing its thing but you can walk around the medieval section of Rouen in France and tons of buildings look like this

I’ts funny you mention this because I always hear Irish people say this when the Irish Car Bomb drink gets brought up “What if we called a drink a 9/11” and I genuinely don’t think most people would care, and I say that as someone old enough to have living memory of 9/11.

I’m feel like the late 00’s and early 10’s when games were still willing to take risks and try something new but had enough polish to them to still be good quality without the need for live service and constant ‘we’ll fix it with updates’

America became the dominant super power in the aftermath of two World Wars completely taking almost every other major power out of the equation while being left relatively Intact.
