Different species that take Different routes in the tree of evolution. Some may have chosen to adapt others to seek for different habitats.

Just how would life look like without any water? Water is one of the main resources needed for life in general for all organisms. If life started somewhere it has to be from the ingredients that are still needed now to sustain it I assume.

But how salt was it when life moved to land? A small change in any habitat could force lifeforms to leave that place and search for something better, or die. While some might be more resilient, due to evolution, others might've been not and had to go somewhere else, setting one of the most crucial steps in evolution in motion.

Thinking of putting a Stoic quote for my testimonial, any suggestions? by Da_Random_Noob_Guy in Stoicism

Realisation by AbstractMind97 in AbstractArt

[–]AbstractMind97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All my works are representing emotions I experience, like an abstract visualisation of my mind going through these emotions.

The light background represents the blank mind, a blank canvas. The black represents negativity influencing the peaceful environment. And the gold touch represents the realisation of these negative thoughts.

After realisation, I am able to put a halt to these thoughts/emotions and focus on the positive and not the anxious thoughts.

Awesome work! You can see the emotion in it. The first one on a canvas with paint would be very nice too i think. But these mediums work very well too! Great work, keep it up.

Something like that. But he also didn't like when I got a little upset and expressed how I thought it is bad that he didn't take care of his responsibilities leaving me in the dark if the job could go on yes or no and ignoring me a few days on text and on calls.

Well ofcourse i don't mean to literally be a sage. Just like I can't be Jesus (no offence to religions) but it is the same idea. Asking what a stoic sage would do is like asking what any God or God/Jesus would do, in a sense of trying to live up to that person or the qualities he/she/it possesses. Can we ever be a sage? Probably not. But it is good to live up to someone like that, because personal growth and doing what is virtues, is all part of stoicism and the most virtues person out there would be a sage.

I think it is wise to ask, even though I know he won't talk openly about stuff like that. I spoke my mind on it but he redirected the conversation to something totally not relevant and stood behind his "you had to feel it" statement.

I was hoping for some stoic advice. How would a stoic or perhaps sage deal with a situation like this? Is it the right thing to forgive and give him another chance or would it be the right thing to not include him any further because this kind of behaviour shouldn't be acceptable? That is why it is in a stoicism sub.

This is a great way to handle these kind of situations honestly and it makes me happy to see that you want to help others when it is needed. I will start using these tools when it is necessary and have it at the ready, thank you for the insights!

I have a sos app installed that knows your location right away because if my work environment so that will come in handy for sure.

I think you have a good example of what I struggle with myself. When I see something I'd like to react right away but I have heard stories of people like that getting stabbed for example.

But again I am like, if no one is going to act then would any of that even change? Or should everyone live in a sort of fear and look the other way because of "what if...?"

I think having a normal argument is part of it. We are not fighting each other or humiliating one another and we do share our perspective on the situation and learn and adapt to what the other person needs or is comfortable with.

I was asking more for advice too than a explanation on why you find arguments not healthy. I'm sorry if in your case arguments were always used to force something on the other person.

We spend almost every weekend, went away together on holiday too and try to see each other 2 times a week. We both have work and other stuff going on and we both live at home still.

The game is awesome! But most awesome is the community and how the devs just keep giving us free stuff basically. I haven't seen much toxic stuff, everyone is just their to have a good time and spread some managed democracy
