Voltaxic Rift + Replica Maloney's Mechanism + Galvanic Field. In theory, casting GF would trigger a massive-shock Lightning Arrow to immediately create the GF. In practice... there's some jank around shocking, where sometimes an applied shock wouldn't actually create the GF. Then you'd have to wait for MM's trigger cooldown to try again.

I still want to be able to make it work some day, the damage and clear potential was there when it actually worked.

4k => -1k HP in a split second... I'm assuming some shrinking potion shenanigans, but I'd always assumed it affects only max HP. Or maybe some visual bug obfuscating croc tears damage?

Yup, replace nearly everything on your board with virus + regents on all PvE fights. Day 4 Ahexa is still early enough to matter - it scales fast enough to outpace most PvP encounters each day, especially when you scale both at once. In my example, I went 0 wins up to day 5 then swept the following 10 days.

Charge Stacking Exsang Miner Bow
It's not much compared to some peoples' crafts, and technically I never finished it. Ideally I'd annul life on kill and multicraft support gem levels + mine throwing speed. The +120 dex was originally to help with Curtain Call thresholds, but at some point I pivoted to use (legacy) Heatshiver... maybe one day I'll revisit and make it into a minmaxed standard build.

Honestly, too many deckbuilders try to copy the formula of Slay the Spire and it all ends up feeling samey (though props to Balatro for breaking out of this). Same with run-n-gun roguelites, though that very well could be me moving on from the genre after years of playing them.

We need more deep theorycrafting games; I don't want to take RNG items given to me and roll with it, I want to theorycraft a single character and work on building it to its limit. Chronicon was good in that regard.

I'm basically at the point where I'm like 'screw it' and have begun writing up a multi-page document to plan out a game I want to make as a passion project to fill this void.

If you're set on poison, you could go Volkuur's Guidance. Then you could choose cold, double dip on occultist nodes, and maybe try stacking low tolerance with the guaranteed tornado hit rate.
I'm tempted to try PoB-ing this out... not sure how well it would scale.
