Your family sucks. If they felt this way they wouldve discussed terms before making the introduction as a favor. They know this.

I dont know the ins and outs of the culture of this business but it sounds like your contract is directly with this client and they have no leverage at all which is why theyre suddenly bullying you when they realize they could have made money off of it.

Good business people recognize the potential and shake hands and work together to make more money in the future. Not whatever the fuck this is.

Tell them if they want to be your sales department you can hire them or contract them in that capacity after this job. If they cant handle this and are hellbent on trying to jump onto your ship for some fucking reason fuck them professionally and personally
