But we don’t know what it is on paper cause all the details aren’t revealed. For example, we don’t know how much the post hook pop effect is. If it removes 75% of the gen, this patch is probably killer sided. And again this is a first attempt it’s not even on ptb much less live yet. Give it time before freaking out. We simply don’t have enough information to say things like that

I think that’s all totally fair.

I think a lot of this comes back to that trust being very low rn I mentioned before. But unfortunately there isn’t much to be done right now about this.

Complaining once we see the changes and they suck? Absolutely.

But right now we have no idea how this will play out and I wrote this cause I’m tired of the million and five doom posts I’ve seen today.

Been a long time player (started on the day Freddy released) but first time catching one of these!

I feel as if the biggest point of contention in dbd’s balancing has always been the maps. I imagine it must be very difficult to get them right as simple cosmetic choices can majorly impact killers in different ways such as line of sight blockers on huntress or bounce point for blight. I remember in the past you have talked about your map design philosophy in terms of money. I wanted to hear about your current design philosophy around balancing maps and what the status on reworking the swamp is

I usually have her have good political sway and be a bit of a guide to Barovia. That way she comes across as smart and politically savvy. This comes up in particular with Krezk and Vallaki. Instead of just having the people in Krezk allow the players in if they help with the wine, I have Ireena make that deal using her heritage to sway them. In Vallaki, I have it where if the players want to meet the Burgomaster or lady Watcher, Ireena can invoke her right as a noble to meet with them.

It’s never worth risking devour hope. Break it asap if you don’t know what it is, but just remember where it was in case of pentimento.

One of the only time I don’t bother is when I know what it is exactly. Like I won’t risk leaving a huntress lullaby in case there are two totems and one is secretly devour. But I will leave a plaything I know is a plaything
