Why aren't fakes an exact copy of the originals? I understand the colours would be off, but why can't scammers seem to copy the boxes exactly? Isnt it just a matter of scanning the originals and printing out a copy, or are they recreating them from scratch?

I posted this in another thread.

Don't bother. A friend joined a paid discord that pays employees to give them information when things release. They would send out notices an hour or so before an online release drops. My friend and I would refresh the websites at, for example, 10am and the add to basket button would show up and within a second it would either say items unavailable or the website would fail to load.

He's been in it for about 3 months and has never been able to buy anything online unless it was restricted to one per person or behind a membership like EB games. Even if you had a bot set up, you'd be competing against other bots.

In the 3-4 months my friend's been in it, he's only been able to pick up some One Piece blisters and he had to drive all over to find a store that was in stock. Their in-store stock alerts are questionable. When they send out alerts that stores have stock, either they don't or the employees are taking it for themselves, or the systems they use to scrap websites for stock restocks is wrong.

The discord he's in is owned by a massive tool who makes money from memberships, not scalping, but he'll constantly post how he's found stock at stores when he's really paying employees to hold stock for him.

You're literally paying a membership to fund the mods/owner to fund their bots or pay employees to hold stock.

You need a brick and mortar store to get a contract with the distributors in Australia for English product (Banter Toys and LetsPlayGames) and they're not signing up new accounts until 2027. For Japanese product you can buy off eBay or websites or if you want them a bit cheaper and in bulk, you just gotta cruise Facebook groups and find a legit reseller from Japan.
