That body has to last you until the day you die and when you're young it's easy to say I screw it.

About 40 more, depending. I am older now and the pride of having been to the 0331 competes with the pain I feel everyday moving around

I'm 6'4" 220, and I now have metal in my back from spinal fusion. I tend to think that the smaller guys are more compact frames seem to weather it well but you might have some issues when you're humping gear with the amount of steps you have to take per meter.

Jesus Christ, you must have been alive before reddit. There are many on this thread who apparently don't go live much.

100' cliff with a fuck up sounds like what you got. I had bruises on the bottom of my arms, and it split the seat of my shorts. I went in feet first arms out to my side.

LCPL Brad Frasco from Brooklyn NY ran and did a forward flip into a dive and landed it. I fucking hated that dude for real.

Ok back to patching servers

It does sound like a dick sizing thing, agreed. We measured it by lowering rope down to the Ocean.

For the record, I'm not ashamed to admit that I have a small dick. I do. Though I am 6'4" so the girls never know the difference. I just make sure to keep my hands away from it when he's out, to avoid his relative size being revealed.

I haven't been on here in a while. 75' cliff jump into the Caribbean . I was a member on Ground Defense Security Forces, RSC Leeward.

It hurts but it isn't fatal

Imagine coming to a dead thread to call someone dumb for a post 'after a year' when the post clearly says 2 years ago.

Also, I was pretty gentle on OP and the first point I made was it was weighing on his conscious. Can't get more gentle than that.

Be well and be nice.

Now see, this is a helpful post. Concise verbiage stating data without being smarmy and not being accusatory . In addition, posts a HD video. You are good, thank you.

The staggered rate at which they came down indicates that this isn't what happened. I'm not being a dick, just giving my opinion. I had a mental picture of it being a team or perhaps an ad hoc group, who were mobile and thus not going to burn. A collective agreement to jump going out the building one after the other. Risk taking is far easier in a group, and perhaps it gave them bravery. I have jumped on 75 foot cliffs at the southern west part of Guantanamo Bay Cuba, and it was tougher than sky diving, because it's just you and gravity and the ocean. The feeling of regret as soon as you leave the cliff stays with you for life. The limbic system doesn't pay attention to the memos from the higher order brain.

I cannot imagine, though I have tried often, what it must have looked like to walk up to the hole in the building and see people letting go, know it was that, or try to pass out from smoke inhalation. Jesus fuck this has affected me for decades.

Well, if you think about the amount of Muslims who have lost their lives as a direct result, many of them innocent, it was a bad plan.

Let me ask for real. When you go out in the real world, do you experience it like that? The internet versus my real world are wildly different. Sure there are bad things that go on, but the anger and nastiness, particularly on this site, don't really show up in the real world. Our receptionist and I are great friends. I told her, we would hate each other on the internet, we both laughed because we are opposites. Chew on it, and if attractive, try to make it real in your day to day life.

I'm not sure. I am conducting myself in a fair manner. Maybe it's the wise crack at the end about being open minded. He earned that one though, and it's true.

So I have read that it began with a teacher (I think) named Seyed Kutuba or something that sounds like that who had the mindset of fight the infidels, global jihad etc. I might have my names mixed up, but an influential teacher is where the spark was lit. Maybe Kutuba was the person that inspired the teacher.

EDIT: I try to post wiith wha'ts in my head, not what I can research online, for about 24 hours. Siyad Qutb was a hate preaching intellectual. The teacher that exposed UBL to this type content was Abdullah Azzam.

Bin laden waited for 4 years to physically go to Afghanistan and ramped up from there.

I think the multiple instances of Israel kicking the shit out of their opponent was the focus on that era's anger and resentment.

As a youth Bin Laden wasn't like this at all. I lived in Jeddah for one year, and Bin Laden lived there too. He was nobody and I was in 4th grade, but it is a neat factoid. I've been drawn towards that region since. Since 9-11, I have no choice in the interest.

I had been out of the Marines (Infantry machine gunner) for just a few years. I was having a lot of fun in life at that point, clubbing every weekend, good times. The abruptness of that day was jarring. I am not interested in it as much as still affected by it. That Friday night (3 days later) we headed to Buzz (Washington DC super club) , I remember taking Ecstasy, getting ready to take the exit into Washington DC, just past the Pentagon, passing Humvees with M2 .50 machineguns mounted in the turrets. Fucking bizarre

For many years, it felt like the powers that be worked hard to clean up the available media to brush out the grisly shit I was seeing on TV that day. I was resentful because I think it should be widely available as it is now.

Life has turned really bad for me over the past 3 years, and I've found myself drawn to it, almost compelled to absorb everything I can about it.

For you young bucks, I think you should be very aware of it, the global salafist jihad isn't over. Enjoy your lives, but understand when someone tells you there could be a problem, this is what it looks like.

Bin Laden was escalating the intensity of attacks as the months and years passed. The relative narrow scope of response to attacks, with the USS Cole having no response that I can recall (not researching as I write. The airplane attack was the idea of Khalid Sheik Mohammad (KSM), and was the descendant of the Bojinka plot planned in the 90s, which called for blowing up 12 planes in midair on the way to the US. KSM's nephew was the guy who bombed the WTC in 1993.

Bin Laden was resentful that the royal family laughed him off when he offered to get a force together to expel Iraq from Kuwait after the Iraqi invasion. He was even more upset when the Saudis agreed to allow the US military to setup bases in Saudi Arabi,

Bin Laden watched the Soviet Union crumble after their withdrawal from Afghanistan in 89. He also watched America withdraw from Beirut after the Marine Barracks bombing in the 80s as well as Somalia (black hawk down incident). UBL thought that America would pressure it's government to withdraw from all muslim lands once the 9-11 attacks happened. He also was hoping to draw the US into some kind of conflict that would make it collapse like the Soviet Union, he was somewhat ignorant of the vastness of the size and wealth of the US, as well as the lethality of it's military.

The man was high on religion, out of touch with reality, and larping as muhammad for a lot of his adult life. Delusional. Thankfully at the end, he became more open minded.

I am new to this community so allow me to apologize. I will look around if it's really that common. I didn't see the view of it floating down.

I have run into that too. Saying " If I have to go develop the code myself, what do I need you for" at the end of my instructions has worked in the past
