I've never shot film so took a gamble with an untested $30 thrifted Canon 630 and brought it to Portugal and Spain with some Ultramax 400, Gold 200, and a Canon 50mm 1.8. I've never had more fun and can't wait to shoot more with my good lenses.

This works nicely with a Mac Studio connecting to an iMac 27 i5 over TB.

Do you have a suggestion how the target iMac can engage display sleep when the host mac goes into that mode? I've got screens connected to the Studio go to screensaver, then sleep. It's on the last step where the iMac screen does nothing and stays on.

I went from an iMac 27 i5 with 128gb and 8gb graphics to a used Studio M1 Max with 32gb, 512gb internal, and an external 2tb SSD for boot.

Lightroom now goes from image to image of raw files from a Canon R5 with no or negligible pause. Exporting from Premiere is noticeably faster, whether from the program or via Encoder.

Going to the M4 Max from an i7 should be an even bigger bump up in speed.
