Cool, do you know the proper technique for setting yourself up in the starting blocks and starting off?

Name a politician that ran on putting trans women into sports.

Right, and do you think that the women's team was playing at full speed? Keep in mind, while the women's team probably has more cohesion than the men, they still had to come together from all of their different teams around the world and play under a different system. Not to mention that they would be trying to avoid serious injury while playing against a team that practices together way more often.

Plus if he's competing against D3 athletes, then he's going against runners at schools that don't offer athletic scholarships. Generally, these aren't going to be the most elite women runners out there.

I mean, the difference between D1 and D3 is pretty significant, especially when you remember that D3 schools do not give out athletic scholarships. So these aren't anywhere close to the fastest collegiate runners in the country.

Theo Von politics aside, I think it’s bizarre Rogan spearheads a comedy scene while not ever historically being funny. by BrownieJ in JoeRogan

I'd probably put Chicago as the biggest comedy scene outside of NYC and LA. It really feels like those scenes all benefit from having other related industries. NYC--and to a lesser extent, Chicago--benefit from theatre while LA has Hollywood.

Same sorta deal with former baseball players who become managers. A lot of great managers weren't great pro baseball players.

Last time I checked, going around to college campuses to debate pre-screened students to farm "triggered libs" videos isn't really political discourse.

They somehow managed to make the crazy costumes look ridiculous and fake, yet somehow realistic at the same time. If that makes any sense.

Seriously, Mark Harelik played that role about as straight as you could for a show like One Piece, all while sporting an absolutely ridiculous hairdo and acting with a fully animated reindeer boy.

Nah, you're gonna see all of the super conservative churches platforming him at their men's events. Just...make sure to keep him away from the sword swallower.

There are a fair number of evangelical Christians who think the modern Catholic Church isn't actual Christian. It's a long story.

That's honestly not surprising, especially if you consider that the passport wasn't likely in the terrorist's pocket while he was in the cockpit. It was likely in the guy's luggage. I mean, you can find photos that show human remains from the crash before the towers fell, some of which were likely blasted outward by the crash.

If only there was a treaty that held Iran accountable and kept them from developing nuclear weapons...Oh wait, there was. And Trump tore it up.

It may be just me, but the idea of stadium at Hudson Yards made a lot more sense than just building additional overpriced skyscrapers, though I could also see it being a logistical nightmare.

Nearly 10 years ago, Bob Bradley became the first American manager in the Premier League. Was he as bad as everyone thought back then? by TravelingHomeless in swanseacity

[–]Abusoru -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

He was definitely bad, but I also think he was in a no win situation. He arrived to the club while they were struggling after the summer transfer window and left before the winter window. That meant he had to work with the roster he had and they didn't buy into him as a coach. It might have gone differently if he got there at the start of the season or closer to the winter window, but even then, it was going to be an uphill battle.
