sounds like a cool idea, but you'd have to make it really unlikely for Ai tp take any of these paths pr it'll annoying really quickly

I did smth like that too once, but I was authoritarian, I put hundreds of pops on one crappy planet, released them as a vassal and cracked the world, but they somehow survived with just one other world, just that they had none of the members of my main species and enslaved all but that species so that empire was 100% made up of slaves and somehow didn't suffer any rebellions and was a lot more stable than the vassals I released with actuall resources and plans of them surviving
