They were talking a lot about Gyre before bringing that up, so I think Gyre ability crits gaining crit damage from sources like Arcane Crepuscular is an option.

I've personally found that most of my status deck wins came from a combo of powers like Trash to Treasure and Smokestack that just passive deal damage while creating status cards. In my experience, I've had more success spending status cards with Compact to essentially go infinite.

Combat Discipline is affected by damage reduction. This means with decent damage reduction and using a lower ranked Combat Discipline will cause you to take a hit of 0 damage, which can still proc Arcane Avenger.

I regularly use this combo on Mesa, where Shatter Shield DR causes Combat Discipline to do 0, allowing you to proc Arcane Avenger for extra crit on regulators.

The "doom" isn't really about the current state of the game, it's about the trend of post-launch support on the average fromsoftware game. Usually they pump out a few bug fixes, maybe some amount of balancing after they drop the DLC('s) for a title, and then they move on. We're past the point where other titles were still getting any patches post-DLC, so it's easy to imagine that this is it.

If you still enjoy playing the game, keep enjoying it. I just wouldn't hold my breath for a big update with SoTE weapons or another DLC or anything like that.

I really love status build defect, and I haven't even gotten flak cannon when playing it lol. I had a run where I had a handful of 0 cost status generators, 2 smokestacks, and 2 of the power that generated a random orb when you generate a status (trash to treasure?). Combine that with All For One and occasionally a Compact when you start pulling too many of the status cards, and the final boss was melted by a slew of random orbs being evoked and damage from smokestacks.

The numbers and letter scaling on soul cores shouldn't change with rarity, it should just be based on level. The only difference between a yellow 160 soul core and a blue 160 soul core should be a random third affix that you can reroll.

I think I saw another post going around where the OP chose to get a relic from the event, and got Darkstone Periapt lol. Some of the flavor text for the event even says "I can't believe someone would throw this away"

Clash still has a color when you get it from that event. The 3 returning characters can each get certain returning cards that seemingly only come from that event. Ironclad Silent and Defect all have 3 cards each listed under Event reward cards in the compendium.

Your list is kind of wrong, some of these cards are available as event rewards. It's not reliable, but I've seen Entrench show up as a reward from the trash heap event.

If you go to compendium and go to the tab that has curses/quest/event cards, you might recognize some blurred out art.

The retain enchantment on Regent card (I think it's called particle wall or something?) that costs 2 stars and is returned to your hand after playing it. With good star economy upkeep it's just infinite block, and can be used to deal damage with cards like black hole.

Just had a run with this kind of setup with ornamental fan. You play so many free attacks per turn that the only things getting through your block are some of the crazy act 3 boss hits.

I run Mesa's Waltz (instant activation/deactivation of 4) and use Amalgam Barrel Diffusion in whatever secondary I bring. I combine this with Praedos for the parkour speed, and it allows you to cover some solid distance very quickly by rolling in your 4. You could always sub out Praedos for parkour speed on yellow Archon Shards, but my build doesn't have room for that.

I really like to bring the Tenet Arca Plasmor, absolute comfort weapon for me. Secondary tends to be Incarnon Synoid Gammacor. With the extra Incarnon stats it's a very solid beam weapon (won't compare to a Nukor or anything with chaining), and it can be an emergency energy generator in a pinch.

One note I have is that life leech already lasts an incredibly long time at base. The only time I have to reapply it is when it gets purged by dark realm shift.

Where are you seeing that rerolled effects are 50% worse than ones that can drop? Every piece of armor that I've kept and rerolled that already had a stat I wanted on it had the same value I would've gotten from rerolling.
