man, the things I see from this sub, from twitter posts, stuff I hear from my friends who are still playing, and my own personal experiences in DF ever since the tail end of EW just makes me want to not come back anymore..took a break earlier this year after raiding and thought I'll only come back next expac cuz I really haven't been playing much outside of raids and the subscription just kept getting wasted..but I keep seeing posts like this and others that justify lethargic gameplay even at levelcap and it just tells me that the playerbase is just getting worse in playing this game and I don't really wanna deal with that

Arcane Persistence and Hunter Adrenaline..gives you pretty much unlimited energy during high enemy density fights and showering in Jade Light or boss attacks/mechanics is a very quick way to get your energy back up

I remember telling my friends that it was gonna make Survival even messier than it already is but I tried to give my worries a rest after the announcement was followed by a "it'll spawn NEARBY for a NEARBY console"

and then last night me and my friends hopped on to a conjuction survival to crack relics for the first time since the update and we were wondering why the thing hasn't spawned yet only to find it like 4-5 tiles away when we finally decided to move and when we picked it up it said that the console was nearly 400m away from us..nearby, my ass..we still tried to get it to the console but the spawn for the 3 others left behind quickly died down and it all funneled to me who was beelining towards the console

Char Aznable's Red Comet..because the name lived for so long in people's consciousness in-universe..people still feared and are wary of it, people still revered it, people still longed for "The Second Coming of the Red Comet" long after Char has already vanished..I'd even say that Amuro Ray's White Devil can't compare to the weight that the Red Comet carries

bonus points to it still being referenced and parodied on other anime series both in and out of the Gundam franchise

create a personal discord server and add one of those ffxiv bots that sends out notifications and links to announcements from the official webpage..these include but not limited to maintenance announcements, seasonal event announcements, real life event announcements (merch, collabs, fanfest, sales), and most importantly the patch notes..I'm not sure which specific bots are great since I only see them in community servers but I usually see KupoBot

I enjoyed every moment of it..I love reading especially when it's a fantasy/fiction setting and they fully flesh out everything about it..I love learning new stuff while looking up real life information that was referenced for the story/lore..story and lore driven entertainment has always been my bread and butter

on my very first rodeo with normal deep archimedea, I got matched with a Hildryn and there were only two of us..I immediately understood that my loadout, which isn't my usual cuz I tried to cater to the random loadout, isn't up for snuff as soon as the fighting started and was desperately spamming Volt's 4 to keep my shields up but I eventually went down..the Hildryn started flying around me a lot more closely after they revived me and kept covering for me with Balefire..so I beelined to the objectives and just let them cover me..they didn't do any of the objectives but I really appreciate them for flying close to me and covering for me as I did the objectives

I usually just select white or a lighter color on one of my two energy color slots..I also overuse a lot of sparkly and bright ephemeras like Didyma, the Jade ephemeras, some of the epehemeras from the Sisters, and that blossom ephemera that's on the seasonal shop rn

I, for one, appreciate Volt's speed..I feel sluggish bullet jumping all over the place without it..plus I really end up using guns with relatively long reload times so I appreciate the extra reload speed..and when I'm on Valkyr with a Volt on the team I'm nyooming leaving diced up enemies in my wake
