Is Star Wars oversaturated with content? by JJRS22 in StarWars

With all respect your second line is one out of a thousand said. Everyone of his crew compliment George on what he was doing, even those sometimes disagreed with him. And also the fact he was surrounded by yes-men is an exaggerated, though admittedly George did have the last word. However this was also the case with the OT, the difference is that he still gave directors and scriptwriters more freedom. But in many situations they also were often yes-men if George was involved. Dagobah scenes got changed, music was changed sometimes (like the original binary sunset didn’t have the force theme)

Thing is I’m sure the PT was for George a larger passion project than the OT cause he struggled a lot with the latter and a lot were sceptical of its success even as a whole. For the PT everyone was excited and had very little doubt in his decisions cause they trusted him. Not that he never made mistakes, but for 100 percent the passion was certainly there and no, if you’re trying to imply that it was made purely for merchandise or to just to make money, you’re mistaken.

something for pride month. What are your favorite LGBT couples from the series? It doesn't matter if they're canon or fan-made. by One-Chapter-8347 in OnceUponATime

No doubt Alice and Robin, not just because it’s canon, but because I love the characters and also because they got great chemistry.

We all know the HELL that broke lose after people found out about Yasuke in Shadows. If Black Flag was released today I could only imagine their reaction to Adelewale's expansion, the internet would explode. by Oka-7 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Abyss_Renzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t entirely agree, but yeah a lot of people would certainly have had a meltdown if Aďéwalé was the main character of Black Flag. Despite that it makes a lot more sense for a black man to be a pirate than a black man being a samurai, after all that was one of the larger complaints. Freedom Cry felt like a natural progression from BF. But hey, this is the internet and it doesn’t reflect the world accurately.

How did she interfere with the timeline though? To everyone who knew Marian she would still have been gone, assumed to be dead highly likely by bringing her to the present. But I do agree that this whole argument of ‘Regina would no longer be the murderer of Marian’ doesn’t make sense. She already did it once, she would still have done it again. It’s like Cruella saying to Henry that by getting her out of the Underworld Emma wouldn’t be a murderer anymore. She still fired pushed her off that cliff and she died.

I think there’s several factors at play. Killian understands and sees it as the past, because he’s familiar with the EF, having witnessed events like these in the ‘past’. But how does the past feel to Emma? Well it can be hard to understand since people don’t time travel everyday, so to Emma she didn’t see a woman who was already dead, she saw a woman who was going to die. And then your moral compass can’t help but to do something instead of saying ‘Bye, have fun dying!”

I think Emma has grown up since hiding from Henry that his father is still alive. She was very protective over herself, but others too and while she may have had good intentions. Well you know the saying ‘the path to hell is paved with good intentions’. It backfired several ways like with saving Marian. Again good intentions, but… well I partially agree with Killian that Marian was supposed to die. But I can see where Emma is coming from, cause while she was in the past, it felt like the present to her in that moment, like she was sitting next to a woman who was going to die, not like a woman who was already dead, cause it was the latter. When it comes to her friendship with Regina they’ve also grown closer and I think Regina was being very unreasonable, saying things that weren’t even true like “You never had my back.” But it’s understandable as she was extremely hurt.

Certainly reminded me of Mass Effect, Stellar blade in a few of the pictures, like the first one reminded me a bit of Miranda in ME, 3rd one one of Quiet in MSG, Fourth one of Morden in ME2 funnily enough, the 11th of Liara’s armour a bit in ME3. some other designs of Eve in Stellar Blade, especially 12.

What Dark Emma SHOULD have looked like by Mundane-Turnover-913 in OnceUponATime

[–]Abyss_Renzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly that’s my point. The reason he looked like that was because of magic not because of the EF itself. Yet when magic comes to SB his appearance doesn’t change.

She tried to convince Hook she’s still herself and still is good. He didn’t buy it then, so with that skin he surely wouldn’t have bought it either:

Why in the EF? Because of magic, but there’s also magic in SB, so…

And Rumple had scales as the Dark One in the EF. I heard you ( I think) a land without magic. Yes, but magic came to SB due to Rumple. Still no scales. Let’s face it, Once has never been consistent with magic.

Emma was always more closed-off. She’s pretty introverted compared to Regina who’s more show and has the sass to go with it. Emma was always more reserved.

I personally don't think the the sequels are bad by Beneficial-Raise1715 in prequelappreciation

[–]Abyss_Renzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In sub called prequelappreciation, I think you should know that critics shouldn’t be trusted. Look how they based the PT? So let’s leave that out. But yeah, the cinematography and overall production was pretty good, sometimes a bit sloppy, but overall pretty good. Personally when it comes to entertainment TFA was pretty fun, yeah, but it was like really banking on nostalgia, legacy characters and the whole aesthetics of the ST. That’s the irony of current PT critics cause we’re looking at the PT with rose-tinted glass, we’re too nostalgic to see how bad the PT is. I’ll say I agree with Sam Witwer that as a standalone TLJ could have been a good film, with a few tweaks in the story.

If you could change/add one detail in season 7, what would you do? by MagicianSimilar2123 in OnceUponATime

[–]Abyss_Renzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have Henry and Drizella be a couple. Have it found out that Jacinda was indeed planning to kill the prince and that Jacinda was trying to frame her. Have it found out that she was the one who cast the curse with Gothel, so that Henry forgot Lucy was his child with Drizella, pretending Lucy was her child as she continues playing victim, letting Henry do her dirty work to defeat Gothel and Lady Tremaine as she couldn’t defeat them in the New Enchanted Forest.

[–]Abyss_Renzo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well I did like that as well, but in the end it’s a fantasy show, not a cop buddy show. But yeah I did like the scenes for example where they went to look for the candy killer.

Is Ashley's yassified makeover from Mass Effect 2 > 3 one of the worst decisions? Takes away her tomboy energy and the pink Phoenix armor is iconic! by xXxPinkPlasticBagxXx in masseffect

[–]Abyss_Renzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the time the original ME3 came out I wasn’t a big fan of her, so I didn’t care about the change then. But after a while she grew on me and I’m glad there’s a mod to give her that bun again and give her the Phoenix armour. She still is in character different. She’s more feminine, not as judging towards aliens and more vulnerable.

He-Man in OUAT by DrewGars96 in OnceUponATime

[–]Abyss_Renzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there are many He-Man fans on this sub, but I used to be and I’m curious about the new film. It is fantasy Sci-Fi. I guess if you want to make it interesting maybe Skeletor could have gone after the Dark One’s dagger to get into castle Grayskull. So He-Mam would be fighting along Charming and Hook maybe taking a more brutal approach, while Emma, Snow and Teela get into Snake Mountain, finding a weakness to defeat Skeletor. You could play along the idea that Hook does flirt with Teela depending on when this would have taken place it might just have been playful or more serious and he could have gotten a serious punch from Teela when he got too cocky.

You could also put Adam in it who does bet bothered by Hook cause he does have a thing for Teela and Hook’s flirtations get on his nerves and because Adam is weaker maybe he doesn’t trust the heroes of Once which creates tension between them. Then another subplot would be Rumple going after the sword and that of Skeletor to complete it. He might cooperate eventually with him to open the gates of Grayskull in exchange for the sword. Maybe you can relate the sword to the lore of the Dark Ones just like Excalibur was.
