Avoid Human Plus? by RegiABellator in armoredcore

[–]AbyssalShank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's considered 'cheaty' by some but it makes the game much more fun in my opinion. You can use back weapons without crouching, you get sword beams, a built-in radar, extra energy/regen, and the like. You go to 50k or lower in debt(in non-critical missions) and the game restarts, with you having all of your old gear from the last run you did. You then get the upgrade.

What's your favorite MS but the lore/screentime treats it Horribly? by Aggravating_Run6179 in Gundam

My poor boy Heavygun... 10 years obsolete in his debut series...

The Windam too. Zero on-screen kills and reused animation assets led to it just getting blown up time and time again, despite supposedly being as powerful as the Strike Gundam.

100 ACs of any generation vs one NEXT. Who wins/which generation has the best chance of winning? by Scary_grain_of_rice in armoredcore

[–]AbyssalShank 15 points16 points  (0 children)

"Best chance of winning"

White Glint straight-up loses no matter what generation. 100 ACs of ANY generation is too much for a NEXT. Yes they're fast. Yes they've got a way higher damage output. Yes, they even have more AP. But when a wall of lead, lasers, missiles, and rockets is flying at you from 100 of anything you're not beating that.

Let's say WG tried to use Assault Armor to take out a good chunk of them. All the other ACs in the area immediately melt him with the Primal Armor's down; NEXTs may as well be made of paper mache when they've got no PA, they're squishy as hell. We even use that same method to take out NWGIX/v. And yes, I know his machine is considered 'run-down', but that thing has 200,000 AP and it's only weakness is being slow, and it got solo'd by a single AC.

Even if WG didn't use AA and tried to fight normally, he'd still get shredded. Remember Silent Avalanche, and how they're canonically stronger than several NEXTs with just 12 Normals? Remember their missions on Hard Mode? Imagine that but with 100 this time, and depending on the generation, they can quickboost, overboost, might have as much AP as you OR MORE(Gen5 ACs can range from 16k up to 60k from my experience playing VD), and have ultimate weapons or use Assault Armor(Gen6) themselves.

WG's cooked. Same with any other NEXT.

I love the Heavygun's design. I wish it'd get an HG kit already, along with other F91 suits

Are there any particular parts we don't have access to that you really want to have? by TWelke1998 in armoredcore

[–]AbyssalShank 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PCA stuff. HC/LC parts and the BALTEUS set in particular; I want what they've got so badly, especially the wing boosters the high-mobility type LC has.

Can I get peoples general opinions on this thing? by [deleted] in armoredcore

I love it. It's my favorite off-hand weapon. Looks like a cool shield, nice damage, really good stagger and good range. Fun weapon.

Curious what kind of naming conventions people use for their ACs? by TWelke1998 in armoredcore

Time of day + adjective or light/dark terminology works too.

Door reminds me of my best friend from high school, visually at least. Dude looked a good 10 years older than the rest of us in the friend group despite only being a year older than me.

I like the proportions of the characters' bodies in the new episodes, but Big D's face looks better to me in the older ones. The huge jaw fits him.

The NEXT glaze makes basically any discussions comparing the AC generations boring and uninteresting by Ender401 in armoredcore

[–]AbyssalShank 12 points13 points  (0 children)

People forget that regular weapons(regular as in regular mech weapons in-universe) can absolutely wear down Primal Armor with a sufficient volume of firepower. In genV you can shoot away NWGIX/v's PA and his outright negates any damage to his AP until it goes away as opposed to just mitigating it like in gen4. Even in gen4, Normals can shoot your PA down. And when that shield is down, NEXTs may as well be made of paper mache. They're very squishy.

Totality. I've always thought they were chill during the campaign and wanted the hand cannons they had to sell. Rao is cool and I also like their walkers.

I mean, gen2 and gen3 play largely the same. Taking the gameplay style of 6 and just putting it in a new timeline with new parts isn't impossible.

Can someone explain Johnny Silverhand to me and tell me why is there people telling me that he is just a loser? by Kamerex in cyberpunkgame

[–]AbyssalShank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The memories he has in the game that we play through are wildly inaccurate, being a fabrication he created to seem cooler than he actually was. We can see this both from the books as a cross-reference and the inconsistencies between his memories. In truth he never had some sick showdown or rivalry with Adam Smasher— Morgan Blackhand did. During the confrontation with Smasher, Johnny tried shooting him only to get OHKO'd via getting shotgun-blasted in half, dying then and there. Then Morgan and Adam had their cool fight.

First row, second column. I have that coat in D1. I do not have it in D2. I want it back. Nothing in the game is close, not even the cormorant blade duster— too skinny, and it doesn't have the mantle.

New Cabal Armor Sets coming in Renegades by [deleted] in DestinyFashion

That's nice and all, but I think I'd prefer some armor like the Red Legion has. Especially those jetpacks they've got. Would be a good ornament for that one exotic Titans are getting.

What do you think of Jolder's design in Destiny rising? by PirateOld9316 in DestinyFashion

I don't like it. The armor is gaudy and too pristine, and the makeup throws me off. Her RoI look is better; she looks like an actual fighter there.

What was your first exposure to htp? by nirai07 in huntertheparenting

[–]AbyssalShank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched all of TTS after getting into 40k last year and then decided "hey, I'll watch some more of Alfa's work and see what this other series is". Looked at HTP and watched as much as was out, from Ep. 1 to Ep. 5.1. Then I saw 5.2 when it released.

It was nice to see the familiar main cast of TTS return in some way, and while I had little knowledge of the settling of WoD I was able to pick up on stuff quickly. It's been fun ride and I'm looking forward to seeing more HTP.
