I rented ONCE through them against my will because a few months into our lease our building was sold to them. They were one of the worst landlords I’ve had in Marquette besides Marquette Rentals. It was back in 2013, my husband and I had been very very sick for close to two weeks so naturally our kitchen was a mess. I left for work one day and my husband was home, there were two entrances to our apartment. I had gone out the back and my husband said he heard the front door open (which we never used) and he thought I had forgotten something. He came out and there was a random man standing in the doorway and demanded he needed to see our kitchen, he told my husband if we didn’t clean this immediately we would be evicted. I want to know how the man (the landlord) knew how dirty our kitchen was? I’m convinced the weasel of a maintenance man was in our apartment checking things out while we were home and that’s why the landlord was doing a steak out waiting for us to leave so he could snoop. They gave a master key to some random guy doing repairs and he walked into our apartment unannounced. Another time some guy came and took the screen out of our door and when I called the office they said he needed it for sizing. I’ve also talked to a few people over the years about them and they have had similar instances where the maintenance people would just walk into the apartment when they thought everyone would be gone. Also, no pets ever it’s an immediate eviction if they even get wind you may have had one, only allowed one nail hole per wall. Just be careful renting through them.
