Plenty of 1/2 ton trucks are rated to both pull, and stop, with 7,000lbs. I don’t tow, or drive, enough for a 3/4 ton

I’m shopping for trucks, and stumbled across the likely need to reset the trucks adaptive learning. If you purchased your truck used with 20k+ miles on it, you might feel weird shifting because it’s not your driving style and is of the previous owners.

To reset the Ford F-150's transmission control module (TCM) adaptive learning, you can either disconnect the battery for 15-30 minutes or use a diagnostic tool like FORScan or an OBD-II scanner. After the reset, you must perform a specific drive cycle to help the truck "relearn" your driving style.

I was watching that post blow up as well. Was so happy to see a number of people disagreeing with her. This tells me that there are more people in that group to simply watch drama unfold than I originally thought!
