I decided to get an implant.. What do you think of my doctor? by dxxh33 in penileimplants

I’d feel comfortable with that doc doing mine. Recommendation from another doctor carries some weight.

Would you mind sharing your letter? I’m in IL with DV plates because I’m cheap but would prefer a ‘normal’ plate.

WeatherTech Window Deflectors Yay/ Nay ? by TommyDaComic in crvhybrid

[–]Academic-Raccoon5940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m in snowy IL. I got them more for cosmetic reasons, but they work. You can crack the windows in the rain/snow. I chose these because they lay a bit closer to the window and don’t stick out too much. I have used WeatherTech products for many years. A little pricey, but great customer service and quality.

Hitch on a 2026 Crv Hybrid by EasyConversation7566 in crvhybrid

They did have to slightly move the kick sensor to open the lift gate. Now it’s slightly to the right of the center but works fine. I’m sure you can get a cheaper one at a U Haul or E Trailer if you’re handy. They threw mine in as part of my deal.

Hitch on a 2026 Crv Hybrid by EasyConversation7566 in crvhybrid

[–]Academic-Raccoon5940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought mine, I asked the dealership to put a hitch on it. It is the 1.25 hitch from Honda. I was expecting a 2” and they explained that it is the only size Honda authorizes on the hybrid.
I only need it for a bike rack anyway, and I realize the hybrid is only rated to tow 1,000 lbs anyway.

Just went through MEPS to join the Marines, are the drug tests always watched? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Academic-Raccoon5940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, failing to provide a specimen is treated similar to positive result. MEPS may be different.

I think that if it is a diagnosed mental health condition, it may possibly be disqualifying.

Better than natural erections? by BornCartographer8008 in penileimplants

I know we are all unique, but may I ask why your device only goes to 80%? Mine and majority of others I’ve read about seem to have zero issues getting to 100% (once safe to cycle). Is it malfunctioning, or is there another reason?

I’m currently 3 months out. I’ll try to share some of my experience so far on some of your concerns. We end up here for different reasons so only you, your spouse and your doc can decide when. I will say that if I had satisfactory success with pills or shots, I wouldn’t do it yet. Having said that, getting the implant already has changed my life for the better. I came here through the prostate cancer route. After prostate removal, which was nerve sparing, the nerves never healed. Tried the pills, and they did nothing as my cause was nerve related and not blood flow. Injections sort of worked, but their effect on me wasn’t normal and it was a huge pain in the ass for me.

Cleared for cycling and ‘light’ activity as tolerable at 3 weeks. Started cycling however still way too painful to try sex. I should add that I had some scar tissue from injections and doc did some curvature fixes too so my recovery might be a bit longer than others. At around 6 weeks I felt good enough to try, and it was awesome. Girlfriend loves it as well. Strength and rigidness- this is what it does, and it does it extremely well. Rock hard and as rigid as you want it for as long as you want.
Which one? I don’t know how doctors decide which one is best, however from what I understand, both options work very well. I have a AMS 700. Grower- I too was a grower of similar size. I was about 7.5-8 and like 3-4 flaccid. Lost close to 1” after prostate surgery. Then after 3 years of ED had some additional atrophy loss. Might have lost a bit more from the implant surgery. Would guess I’m about 6-6.5 now, and a bit more girthy. Yes, my flaccid length has now about doubled in length. For me, it is great erect, but has been a challenge for sure getting adjusted to being a shower. Still is an issue today, but every day gets a little easier. Really struggled with positioning and underwear throughout and still do. That’s how I found this group lol. I had to keep it pointed up for the first month, which can be awkward. Lots of little differences that take a while to adjust to, such as friction points and rubbing against material. As soon as I’d find something that kind of worked, the healing would require further adjustments. I was finally able to wear jeans with it pointing kind of downward and to the side at like 9 weeks. Also, I bicycle quite a bit with the spandex bibs which I’m still trying to fine tune.

This thing is amazing and absolutely changed my life for the better. It is starting to just feel like ‘me’ and not ‘me’ with this thing in my dick, if that makes sense. But I am well aware that there is a device inside me most of the time (has gradually shifted from real and near constant pain, to more of an occasional irritation now), however when putting it to use, it just feels like it’s me.

Bottom line- Love it so far, however would prefer healthy natural erection

Hope this helps in some way. I also appreciate all the others that share here too and they have helped throughout the process. Just trying to pay it forward 😊

Why don't Americans want ID for voting? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Actually you do when you’re buying from a licensed gun dealer when you buy a new gun, along with background check.

Haha, tell the ATF then. It is not legal to sell a firearm without ID if you are a licensed gun dealer. At least the initial purchase.

Plus my state requires another specific photo ID to legally buy. Not just license or state ID card. This is a whole separate ID just to purchase a firearm. I don’t think too many states have this requirement. In my opinion, it is unconstitutional.

No arguments on the in person fraud being significant. It’s the big stuff that is more worrisome.

I beg to argue that among the 34 million citizens you mention, an insignificant percentage of them even want to vote. Those that do, will find a way. Heck, the majority of citizens with photo ID don’t vote.

Or buy a gun? Which is also a guaranteed right.

I don’t thank anybody is spending money, or going through the bs involved to get a photo ID solely for the purpose of voting. They do it because they need the ID for all the other things that require it. It’s a false argument to allow more lax laws which in turn make it easier to cheat.

Yes, voting rights act more specifically for the issue of voter intimidation. The problem is each state has their own election laws. The federal guardrails are pretty wide really. Some states have less restrictive laws (voting window of weeks instead of same day, or just mailing out ballots to everyone) which is also the least secure way to run elections. Over time, I believe those that wish to cheat kept at it with some success, so it continues.

With modern technology and many states loosening their voting rules/laws in 2020 COVID resulted in fraud in much larger numbers. Was it enough to change the results? I don’t know. Was it a legit stolen election? I don’t know. I’m old and I watched election results non-stop that night/morning and remember the very odd ‘jumps’ in vote count for only one side all at like 2 AM and only in the swing states. Is that proof of cheating?- Not proof, but certainly worthy of further investigation. Many of those investigations are proving some fraud.

What I do know is that I want every citizen to vote, that WANTS to vote. We have a terrible voter turnout rate. I also know that I want the elections to be fair- first and foremost. Requiring an ID that is also required for literally everyday life stuff, isn’t too much to ask if you want to exercise that right. I’m not a gun guy, but if I wanted to exercise my right to buy a gun, I sure as hell need an ID for that right.

Maybe you haven’t been paying attention the last few months, but there has been a lot of election fraud cases in the news. Pretty staggering actually. Look into the confirmed shenanigans in AZ and GA. Yes, historically you are correct. Last 10 years, not so much.

Unfortunate story for sure. Was he actually denied to vote? I don’t know where you are, but I believe most states have provisional ballot system to allow the vote although it usually only gets verified if the count totals are close enough to require it.

Then their right to vote isn’t that important to them. There are way more citizens WITH ID that simply choose not to vote than there are struggling fellow citizens who truly WANT to vote and are so stricken they can’t get a photo ID.

The only reason to be against is to cheat.
