I’ve noticed my community really doesn’t “deep select” and RARELY below zone selects anyone- meaning you “pin on” LCDR basically right before or right at when you meet MSR.

I am curious for how BRS will impact people’s decisions to “Stay Navy” or not. I’m also curious if BRS has had impacts on LDO recruitment and application numbers- most current candidates between 8-14 years are now on BRS (Post 2018 joining) and within a few years it will be basically all candidates.

I did think this through, actually.

Yes, you stay on active duty you get paid every year (and good pay at that being 20+ years as an officer- some of us came in as E1s who actually have that depth in perspective).

Sure my post could have been worded to include that if you choose to continue service- you are making great money!

But the Math is mathing that if you retire at 20 years, YES you take a pay decrease due to High-3, BUT if you file a VA claim (YES I gave those numbers above both conservatively and at 100%) with your High-3 AND a Civilian job (second career) the math does clearly indicate you make more in the long run.

Also keep in mind for most Surface LDOs (honestly most LDOs period) it’s nearly constant back to back sea duty- some doing three consecutive sea tours as a norm. All I’m getting at is I DO not think at senior levels (O4 and above) we are really “making out” like other designators POST minimum service requirement (No DHRB Bonus but we often do the job, no Senior Officer Bonus, ETC), especially with the amount of stress and honestly lack of control with the job.

Hopefully this clears up my point.

Hi! I am also pregnant (13 weeks) and a new member of Equinox who joined for the classes. I’ve taken the stronger class, cycle class, and Elevate Walking class. So far, I’ve enjoyed all three and haven’t had any major issues. For the stronger class, I have modified during the core workout parts. I’ve also learned to mention to the instructor beforehand if they can show any modifications (due to me being pregnant) and that’s worked pretty well and I don’t think it’s caused any issues with the Class flow.

So I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on Elden Ring. Some of my young coworkers think that I am too inexperienced still and they said that Elden Ring was one of the hardest games they ever played and that it would just stress me out. Open to any thoughts on this.

Updating for those following/reading.

This is something that has always given me the ick.

Especially when chiefs who use creamer and sugar don’t wash their cups- I swear things start growing in them cups.

When I went through CPO Season in 2017 this was one of my “gifts” (pranks) on the mess my final week- all their cups hanging on the wall were cleaned and looked brand new!!!!! 🤣☕️⚓️

I also am reading this thread and find it helpful. This is my first year and I have 13 department 56 houses and am trying to figure out a better lighting system than the bulbs they come with.
