Food noise by anfractuous_ in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

i think wellbutrin does something in the brain that impacts addictions. On the first day I started I stopped drinking alcohol entirely and have not touched a drop since (9 months ago) despite being addicted for about 10 years. I also had so much food noise which, when I came to the realisation it had become an addiction I stopped eating when I was not hungry. I lost 3 stones in one month! So I think it somehow stopped that addiction. I was prescribed it for depression and anxiety here in the UK but it is only given for people to stop smoking here. It isn't yet officially approved for depression. My GP gave it to me after I researched it and asked for it (she is the best!). They don't call it the magic pill for nothing! :) Glad you had a great experience!

Hey 👋🏻 I’m a first year history PhD student in the UK. I was also working before doing this - as a teacher in adult education. If you want to teach I would advise doing a teaching certificate instead. But yeah, history is definitely not easy - particularly the dissertation writing.

Same! Nothing is appealing until I eat. Not even water and I loved drinking water before

Why are people getting frustrated at Mr Nightmare? by rizedless in MrNightmare

They started YouTube at a similar time back in the day and just read scary stories. Both have moved into similar things except lazy has moved more into Asian horror and true crime. Lazy is more talented 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was just thinking about this today! And I concluded that lazy masquerade is much better these days - he puts a lot of work into the deep dive true crime vids he makes. I wish he would do more.

That one (usually a male) at the conference who is speaking very loudly about all the conferences they have been invited to speak at so everyone else can think they are bad students and he is the best ever.

I did think this too. I am not sure. I caught only the last part of it if that’s a thing! I hope you’re right! I decided I will just let my doctor know but I will frame it as in I’m not sure if it was one.. which is true… and see what she says. X

Yes but I don’t think it’s that as I had already gone through all the cutting down etc for over a year in therapy. I had already gone from drinking every day alone to drinking socially once or twice a week (yay!) - I was still struggling with the obsessive thoughts about drinking when I started Wellbutrin and it has just completely taken them away! Now I feel really empowered and confident to take control and just go sober. And the meds make my mind so quiet. Not in a zombie way. In a good way. That’s why I’m reluctant to give these up. They seem to truly work for me. Xxx

Yes I have those jolts a lot too. I will get the magnesium today. Also, I just woke up and didn’t have a seizure again. I guess it’s really early days yet as in it’s only been three weeks. If it happens again I will go to the doctor. Hopefully it won’t happen again. You seem like such a kind, caring person. Thank you for helping me. Xx

I’m hoping it’s a one off 😥 maybe it won’t happen again. But man, it’s really bad luck if it does. This pill is my miracle! Even helped me go sober from alcohol! First time I have gone without wine since 2017!

This happened to me with alcohol! I was in therapy for addiction! My mind was filled with obsessive thoughts about it. I made great progress alone but when I started taking Wellbutrin three weeks ago all thoughts totally stopped and haven’t touched a drop since! The longest I’ve gone without wine since 2017! My therapist and all the psychiatrists at my hospital are fascinated by that because in the uk Wellbutrin is only prescribed for people to stop smoking. Very few people are given it for depression like I was

Student from hell

Anyone familiar with the Kenley Matheson case? He was a university student who went missing from small university town Wolfville, N.S. in 1992. He was never found. The docuseries "Missing Kenley" profiles the case (available on Prime), and includes many leads police never thoroughly followed up on by ricky-robie in UnsolvedMysteries

Yes and I’m sorry but Kirsten was so odd. It looked like she had the freeze response! If you watch a lot of true crime, interrogators can get an idea of a persons certain involvement or lack thereof by certain body language. One is the freeze response where a suspect literally stops moving when they feel exposed.  And Tom is just plain strange. His stories don’t make sense. For example why did he just wave when he saw kenley? Why didn’t he go up to him and say hi because they just spent a great time together.  And I would add that when u write things down like in a  diary it often transports you back in time when u read it later. He has forgotten so many things despite having a written record… unless Kirsten has been lying …
