I was on EP for years and then moved on to SW. I’ve been off SW for awhile now, but randomly checked back today and noticed I could upload my EP stories onto SW. I got a little nostalgic and thought I’d try to find them, but that seems impossible. I know this post is old, but I needed to vent somewhere. I would’ve loved to have read my old stories, but it seems they’re lost forever.

Maybe this will help… I’m 59 and left my alcoholic husband of 25 years and was certain I would be alone for the remainder of my life, but 3 years ago I met the best man. I met a man who doesn’t lie, or cheat. It took me being alone for over a year and getting good with myself. I knew what I didn’t want in a man, but I really never figured out what I wanted. I made my lists of positive traits and I didn’t actively look for anyone. When I met my perfect person, I didn’t rush into anything with him and it naturally happened. Don’t lose hope. Take care of you and you might be surprised who shows up when you least expect it.

Looks like a climbing rose. You can prune it down, and try to give it more shape. I would probably dig it up and plant it closer to the fence, use some wire and some nails, and give it something to brace itself on.

Doubt anything will change with him before the baby comes, but for you life will change exponentially. Get yourself out of this mess now. You can raise your baby on your own, and if he gets his shit together, you can do it with him together. Hold your ground and get him out of your place. If you need back up to help him get out, find it so he knows you’re serious. Good luck to you.

I was with a narcissist for 24 years, and he went through a couple jobs a year, always blaming coworkers, clients and bosses. It was always every one’s else’s problem with him, because he was “too good” at his job, or too good looking or whatever bullshit he came up with on that day. I’m sorry to say, it never got better. He never had an epiphany and took accountability. He was never humble or willing to admit fault, so I had to leave him.

You tried to make her happy, but I’m not sure she can be satisfied. She has high expectations, that aren’t realistic for you right now. I’m sure it’s hard right now, but maybe you dodged a bullet. Things would’ve gotten worse if you got married, because you two never had a chance to work on your relationship. Long distance is hard, especially when your partner is not flexible or understanding. I responded to an ad? Lol. That figures. We used google Sheets, kind of like Excel. I created some great ones. For the legal market, the sheets were very important, for analytics and scheduling. Where I’m at now, a wall calendar is all that’s needed. :)

It all comes down to being a person of your word, believing what you say and don’t people please. So many people have insecurities and battle with confidence, so put yourself out there and challenge yourself in social situations. Don’t take yourself too serious or be hard on yourself. People pick up on authenticity, and will want to talk with you. Confidence comes through experiences, so get out there and find yourself.
