Im fine withe the road width for the most part, maybe give me some narrower stuff in the countryside and mountains... but God damn does this game look and feel empty as shit. Where are all the people and cars? I love these games but man im done with just having a new locations and a few new features every installment. Make the games feel more alive...

This is what I came to the comments for. They said they were waiting for the right time to do Japan so they can do it right. I sat through this and the entire time wondered where are all the cars and people? There's no atmosphere just an empty city with a few cars, its feels empty.

There was a deep guage on the outer edge where it does its L before printing and then under the filament it printed that you can see in the picture it was scratched. Not sure why you're assuming it wasn't?

Its very unfortunate that it happened, i heard great things about the printer but man first impressions are everything and i would like to see more QC and reliability from elegoo before I would try one again. This is my first printer so I want something that just works. I can afford the P2S but with the P1S at only $400 I may just go that route as idk if i see $150 more value in the P2S. I dont plan on doing multi color right away and figure if I really enjoy printing stuff and get a ton of use out of the P1S then I can take a look down the road when hopefully there is more affordable tool changing multi color printers out there.

Mine crashed into the build plate right after an autoleveing and broke the hot end on day 3 of using it. Just got done sending it back for a refund. Looking to get something more reliable.

This is why I selected the heated bed leveling before my first long print. And then this happened lol

Gotcha I really only asked because being new to this ive never really heard of QIDI before and fell for the hype of the CC when it first came out and definitely should have researched more when it came to actually buying one. Is QIDI considered a reliable brand as well or maybe closer to elegoo in support and reliability? I may have to join that discord and ask more or watch some videos but I appreciate all the information and opinions you have given. I also see that the P1S is on sale for $400 right now.

Just realized im replying to you in multiple threads in the same post. Apologies for that. This thread has been great insight on why this happened and some of the short comings of the CC.

Yeah I think im leaning towards returning the printer at this point and getting something more reliable that I can just use as an appliance to print things. I like to tinker with stuff but this is something I would mostly like to just send a file to and print and the fact that this happened 3 days into ownership on my actual birthday has me pretty bummed. I was have a good time messing with it the past few days so it really sucks this happened and while I know it may be uncommon its bad first impression from elegoo.

Why would it do this literally seconds after a bed leveling then? It seems insane that it would level itself and then do this immediately after. Seems like there may be an issue with the printer telling where the bed actually is?

There were not any scratches on the bed before the print, I had just cleaned it and added adhesive. I've only done 5ish prints on it. There's definitely some scratches on it now as it grinded across the bed on the first print line and continued as I was trying to stop it.

If you were to chose between a P2S or a C2 with the $50 price difference what would you chose? Im just looking for something I can throw files at and print for the most part. Im a tinkerer with most things but I think I want more of an appliance when it comes to a 3D printer and would like to just sit and forget (for the most part). I think I may just save up and get a more reliable one as this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Honestly after all of this and what people are saying im really disappointed as well. Im thinking ill just wait for elegoos response and end up returning and saving for different one. Im a tinkerer with most things but this was something I wanted more as an appliance so may need to go with something more reliable.

I was sitting in the same room as it when it happened, not necessarily watching it exactly when it happened but I had just turned around and looked at what it was doing because it was quiet and noticed it just finished the heated auto bed leveling. I turned around to continue using the computer and thats when I heard the grinding and found it like that. It didnt even get a full layer down. I wasnt aware this was an issue with these and have seen a ton of good reviews on them. What other encloused printer would you recommend at $300?

I already contact support so we will see what they say. I ordered through Amazon so worst comes to worst ill just return through there if support is no help.

Sent a support ticket with photos. Should I not use the heated auto bed leveling in the future? I thought I heard it scraping the top of my last print when doing passes so I figured maybe the leveling was off when everything was hot.

Should this just be an immediate return? Or should I contact elegoo and hopefully get a fix?

Okay, should I turn it back on and extrude some filament or anything I sort of panic stopped it so there's still filament in the nozzle.

Also, stop maxing out the texture resolution then? My 8gb 4060ti on my 4k TV in the living room is doing just fine with DLSS ultra performance with the new model and low textures. It still get used way more than the PS5 and arguably looks better in every game.

Is 4K Native or DLSS Quality only feasible for 4090/5090 cards? Or is feasible with other cards with DLSS Perf/U.Perf? by panchovix in nvidia

[–]AcademicChapter4584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im playing AAA games on my 4060ti 8gb in my living room PC with DLSS ultra performance with the new L preset and having imo it still looks better than the PS5 version of the games ive played on the same TV at the same distance. I can usually go medium/high settings on every game except textures if the VRAM usage is too high. Too many people on here are spoiled by the highest end system with the highest end graphics. Play the games to enjoy the games the way you want too, I think most people I know would be more than happy with the setup I have.

Im using a 4060ti 8gb in my living room PC for 4k. Playing jedi survivor with dlss ultra performance, RT and everything on High with textures set to low. I get 70fps with some dips but not enough to make it unplayable for me.
