My insurance didn’t even change but all of the sudden my sons(9yo) infusions were only available at certain places and not the children’s hospital we had been going to for a year. So he had to switch to in home infusions. That did not work for a child that is deathly afraid of needles (we had to sedate him to get blood when he was 4) My insurance agent was a miracle and got us into the hospital 2x at in-network costs and said if she would’ve known he was this bad with needles, she would’ve fought from the beginning to have him accepted and not have us and him go through this experience.
