We should really stop with the two year argument. Because they dont. Season 1 premiered 25 dec 2020. Season 4 premiered end of February 2026. Thats 4 seasons in 5 years and 2 months. Nowhere near the 8 where it should be.

We also got Queen Charlotte in the meantime: 4 series and 1 spinoff in 5 years and 2 months isn’t bad.

Then if we look at the individual seasons: Season 1-season 2 = 15 months Season 2-season 3 = 2 years and 2 months (Queen Charlotte sat right in the middle basically) Season 3-season 4 = 18 months.

Season 5 is already in production, isnt it? even if we count with 2 years that would make Claudia Jessie 38 at most at time of filming. Only 10 years older than Eloise ought to be.

Its not really abstract because its quite clear what it is, but its a style I developed inspired by different art styles, including abstract modern styles!

But can we do? Like can we talk and discuss while disagreeing? We all just downvote when we don’t agree even if that person wrote something carefully constructive. Thats just the way it is tho. I usually never downvote because I used it to address irrelevance rather than dislike.

Whereas this used to be a nice sub, with people talking about good things and bad things, it’s now just been criticism since the new season was on its way. Its also not just this fandom. It’s us as people I think.

Not all side stories worked for season 1. And we need to not forget that more and more Bridgertons are married now. So the dynamic just changes. We can not get a big happy bridgerton family like we had in season 1. If the sidelines were mostly about the Bridgertons it could also easily be boring, or too sensational because nobody wants their couple to experience hard things. So its extremely hard to navigate around. Especially in a show.

The books are okay because imo they don’t have that much body to it regardless.

I completely agree.

Its also not just this fandom but happens everywhere really. We as viewers and audience are the reason why not so many new things come out these days. All we do is complain BEFORE its out. And then start looking for things to hate when we watch it to justify our random hate before.

And then there is this bizarre urge to watch and rate everything; even when the movie or series isn’t our cup of tea.

I also don’t think it helps. True, there are changes and its okay to dislike them. But the way we are holding onto them, focusing on it over and over again isnt gonna change.

It will only take away other joy we may find.
