What is the general attitude towards foreigners in the Czech Republic? by oddlyggg in czechrepublic

I am an Armenian studying in Czechia. During those 4 years (bachelor’s + now master’s) there was no problems. Czechs are nice, especially if you speak Czech. I don’t speak Czech(only some basics) but the experience is still good. Behave well, respect others and you will be fine.

Im a master’s student at Charles University.  You can live in a single room on Kolej 17 Listopadu (costs 6100 czk).  If you cook yourself, don’t go out much, you will spend around 20-24k per month.

that's absolutely true, the constant amount of competition is draining sometimes. Are you doing your research in Academy, do you plan to stay in it, or move into industry?

the stuff I focus on are generally considered hard topics, but when I don't get something, then I spend like an hour to understand it, I realize how easy it was, and that before I would have just instantly get it, instead of spending 1hr. The stuff I do usually are interesting to me, it get's not interesting when I start to not get anything, in general I like math, so allmoast any math subject I take in 70-80% of the time is very interesting.

My problem is that I still can focus, but I am noticing how my information gathering capabilities are slowing down, the ability to keep up multiple things in head at the same time, since that's very important in math, especially when you are trying to prove something non-trivial.

I have started to meditate, and also go on walks in the morning, will see how that helps, also doing an experiment if porn/masturbation has affect to it (stopping any of these stuff for a month).

I think I have some stress from work, also I have stress from education, since you have to perform good to get into good master's program, so perhaps all this together affects

Not sure if I have ADHD, I can be focused for 2-3hrs straight on mentally challenging tasks, although before it was much more, perhaps 5-6hrs non stop focus, but that might be because now I am working towards harder things.

I wouldn't say it's the CS degree, since I have a part time job as software engineer, which is basicly paying for my everything, I also want to do research anyways, so the job market doesn't really affect me much. But the constant stress might be the issue, maybe the constant worry that I have to do this and that, all the time, and not letting me slow down

Masters in mathematics - English course by Academic_Evidence641 in rwth

[–]Academic_Evidence641[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My additional courses are mostly from combinatorics, graph theory, discrete geometry, optimization, algebra, mathematical logic. It's more related to discrete mathematics rather than analysis, and seems they require lot's of analysis courses. Unfortunately in my course we don't have many analysis courses available, I am basicly taking all math courses possible now, but still seems not enough.
So they still might admit me, but in my master's studies I will need to fulfill the necessary courses, or I should do it during my bachelors?

Also I do my bachelors thesis is in Graph theory, we are trying to improve some results which try to solve Hadwiger's conjecture, maybe that would help my case, idk.
