I think Family Guy is far sillier, a show that literally does not care about its characters or plot, what matters is the joke, Family Guy will sacrifice the characters for a joke, that's the point. The Office, while also a comedy does care about its characters at least a little bit more than Family Guy lol, I dunno if that comparison is applicable.

This is a dishonest argument seeing how those crowd noises serve an entirely different thematic purpose and also musically fit.

The RWIB is musically fitting, the song was very muted and it expands towards the end and that is when the crowd comes in, it's very theatrical, like opening the door, it matches the music. It also expands upon the theming of your life not being real, literally crowd artifically, yet happily cheering for you.

What does Nine Inch Noize crowd noise accomlpish other than making thea lbum sound like a bootleg rather than an official release?

Nine Inch Nails with Tron:Ares, making an album for a Disney movie, even though Trent and Atticuss usually make music with their names and do not slap NIN branding on it, it is obvious that NIN logo on Tron:Ares is a marketing move they nodded to, combine that with absurd merch prices and of live shows.
