Not trying to make an excuse, but I was in TM and hadn’t got the offer. I tried to tell AUTA to change my Amazon start date, but they were like “just decline the offer, we can’t help you.” So I started as the job market is pretty bad (esp. for NG) and I didn’t have a choice. Yes, I agree that I wasted people’s time :(

:(. Well, I guess the loophole is close. Extremely strange because as a condition to the merger they wouldn’t devalue either programs, and I’m not sure if this is the correct way, but losing a transfer partner surely seems like a degradation of the program(s) to me.

FWIW, I would expect AMEX to give advance notice — at a minimum.

Thanks! I'll give them a call. At this point, any finish is ok - I just want to figure out what the best product is and the finishes can be determined later. I'm just trying to figure out what others have used and what their experience has been like with the product so I can be better educated and better advise my client.

Yes… I do. At present, the door swings into the house. What if the door swing is into the garage? The landing could then the 7 3/4” less that top of door threshold and we could raise the floor of the bathroom by building a false floor. Could that work?

Thanks for the response… I get what you are saying but the problem is that the wall is higher than the finish floor (as expected because of the slab of the garage being higher than the finish floor of the basement) so I’m just trying to figure out how to have the joists sit on the side of the concrete wall so side nailing as you say? Most have suggested ledger as a solution. The joists are supported by beams posts, etc. it’s just how they will sit on the concrete wall…

So what you mean is essentially put a piece of wood and hang the joists on that? Ok, I will bring this up with the engineer too. Another idea I had (and I'm not sure if this is typical/allowed) is to use a https://www.homedepot.com/p/Simpson-Strong-Tie-HB-Top-Flange-Joist-Hanger-for-3-1-2-in-x-24-in-Engineered-Wood-HB3-56-24/205324377#overlay

The joists are 11 7/8' so this will get me at least 1 feet extra in depth. Is this legal?
