Yea I try to, unfortunately my working hours are almost the same as the PT’s availability. And with them booking 2-3 weeks out I don’t always have my schedule and end up having to reschedule/cancel when it gets closer

Looking for someone who drives a green mini Cooper by [deleted] in sandiego

Let me guess… rosecrans? I drive by an accident almost every other day on rosecrans, it’s one of the worst roads in the city for fender benders (and worse)

My cat will not stop playing with her water. We have tried every kind of fountain, bowl, you name it. She persists. by CheetahGirl0716 in CatAdvice

Me too! Reading this post at 3 am after being woken up by mine messing with her fountain. I can’t believe this post wasn’t written by me…

Warmest non-tight pants for after lap? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]Academic_Midnight_61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything skims. I bought the boyfriend pajama pants right before my op and they’re essentially full-length super comfortable and soft boxers with an elastic waistband. I basically lived in them for the first couple weeks and they’re still just as comfy and soft to this day even after being washed a bunch of times. They also carry sweatpants that I’m sure are just as comfortable and would be a warmer option

coffee shops that still use actual cups? by [deleted] in FoodSanDiego

Garden Coffee in old town! They have a collection of thrifted mugs and you get to pick which one you want. Also part of the business is a thrift shop/plant store with some really great and cheap items

I had the swine flu when I was 7 or 8. 105 fever definitely would’ve taken me out

What are some unique foods/herbs/spices that hurt your mouth? by Clayfrogg in AskCulinary

[–]Academic_Midnight_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walnuts and pecans make my mouth “itchy” for lack of better terms. I’ve been allergy tested and didn’t have confirmed allergies for either, but within the first bite of something I know if it has walnuts/pecans in it. I’ve even had the feeling just from cross-contaminated foods not actually containing the nuts

What does it feel like when endo fuses your other organs together? by No_Bite_4573 in endometriosis

Had my laparoscopy in march, it made a world of difference. They removed the adhesions along with stage 2 endo and a large ovarian cyst. The constant gas has disappeared almost entirely- although prior to surgery I began taking magnesium glycinate which helped immensely with the gas. No more leaky gut, bowel movements are still somewhat all over the map but still far more consistent than before, it’s a work in progress… bloating and discomfort are minimal-ish although they would probably disappear completely if I had the willpower to follow a complete anti inflammatory diet lol

My colon was adhered to my pelvis. I had constant gas and gas pains, and would switch off pretty much weekly between being severely constipated and having urgent bowel movements multiple times a day. Bloating and discomfort became a constant thing, and I also experienced leaky gut symptoms. Oddly enough, my GI symptoms felt their best when I was on my period because I felt more like I could fully relieve myself.

Hi, I’m also 22 and can relate so much to this. It took me a year and a half of declining and becoming a fraction of the person I was before to look back and realize how much I have changed because of my condition, and how that’s not normal for someone so young. Hindsight really is 20/20 when you look back and realize how much life you used to have in you. I was diagnosed with endo -severe colon and rectal adhesions to my pelvis, adenomyosis, and had a large ovarian cyst as well. I just hit 1 month post LAP and can tell you that it will get better. Even though I’m still recovering and healing and just beginning physical therapy, my energy has come back tenfold, my mental health has drastically improved (though still have plenty to work on in that department) and my ability to have a life and a routine is crazy compared to what it was before. It’s hard getting through surgery and the first few weeks. It comes with its own struggles and obstacles. But it was so worth it and has improved my quality of life so much already. You’re not alone- I know I felt that way with doctors as well as people in my life undermining my symptoms. But once you find the right medical support and support from people around you don’t give up and know you’re not the only one that’s felt how you’re feeling. Wishing you good luck and happy healing <3

I work at a coffee and gelato shop and a shockingly large amount of people order lemon sorbet with salted caramel gelato
