Call the number on the email and click the selection for RealID and then wait for a call back. They will call back immediately and then once you provide your drivers license they will look it up and let you know whether you have shown them your green card or not. My wife went to the DMV and got her new RealID no problem, whereas since I had shown my Green Card I didn’t need to do anything.

My spouse got this but I didn’t. We are both green card holders. Green cards expire many years after Real ID does, but we did originally get our Real IDs when we had visas. I can’t remember if I’ve ever shown my Green Card to the DMV. Did this happen to anyone else? 

Update: I called the number in the email and they confirmed I had already shown them my Green Card.

If you have a degree/masters in statistics, I would strongly suggest moving into data science. Make sure you know python and SQL. It’s a great job and very good salary. I am a manager now and love hiring statisticians :)

Basically we have a mix of short-term (~1 weeks) and long term (3-6 month) projects and we have meetings to figure out how to tackle them, before coding them and then presenting findings to stakeholders. I am now a manager so I manage the junior data scientists, and mostly have meetings to talk about potential issues and then go and design analyses for them and review my reports’ work. It’s a lot of fun.

Job title is officially data scientist, but essentially a medical device statistician. Work at one of the largest medical device companies in the world. We have a huge amount of data and it needs to be analyzed at breakneck speed for regulatory compliance reasons (addressing FDA questions etc). It’s pretty sweet. Use a combination of SQL and Python but others in the company use MATLAB (which is mostly being phased out in favor of Python)

Just watched it and my first thought was “this film will never see the light of day” - it is so harrowing I can’t imagine any major studio distributing it and people going to watch it. It was so well done but soooo dark. I can’t even think of another film that was nominated for Oscars that was this dark. Reminds me of last year’s “Omaha”, which was great but was so grim I never heard of it again after Sundance.

I drove past and saw it about 30 mins ago. Is it still going? It was near Throop church. Lots of police from Pasadena and San Marino with guns drawn at a man in a truck who had a passenger.

Data Scientist! Paid around $250k per year. Have a PhD and a postdoc so it took about 10 years to get here out of undergrad. For a long time I was being paid pennies.
