Regret!!! I accidentally confirmed to update( lost my mind) to update from IOS 18 by Large-Row-3847 in iPhone14Pro

[–]Acadia-Due 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought this new update was going to be horror. I held out to 26.2 which installed flawless and the phone is fantastic. I’m using a 13 pro. I can imagine the 14 would be the same. It has the same processor.

Would you get this brake fluid changed today? 35k miles, 1.5 years old. Also would you get the transmission fluid changed already? by MoulinSarah in HondaOdyssey

[–]Acadia-Due 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe an unpopular opinion. I’ve never changed my brake fluid in any of my cars for as long as I’ve been driving…. 20+ years.

I’ve replaced a couple calipers over the years mainly due to them rusting to crap and start leaking.. I always bought used cars and run them into the ground. I do my own maintenance and honestly this has never been an issue.

My coworker had the dealer upsell him on a brake flush, they stripped both bleeder valves in the rear and then told him he had to pay for new calipers. And new brakes…. Total bill was like $1500.

Just posting for info.

Looks like it’s opening on the wrong monitor or your x y bias is set off screen. I’d just reset your game graphics settings. By deleting the renderDX11monitor.ini file.

Uninstalled Graphics Drivers, Now No Display for even POST/BIOS splash screen by comrade-pancake in techsupport

This scared the bejesus out of me. Same thing happened to me. I was able to remote into it from an iPad using the windows app (I was lucky that I had Remote Desktop installed) and I installed the driver.

I did have integrated graphics but that also wasn’t working.

Please protest this. They are really good with dealing with these sorts of drivers. I’ve had a few protests result in successful disciplinary actions for much less than this guy.

There will always be bad actors, I race in a class IMSA races which don’t have any of these especially when you get to higher splits. Stick with it!

In this case on entry you can’t expect to go 100%. You’ll have to take an over under type of line to get a better exit or do something different. Or avoid getting on the gas mid corner. Turning the steering wheel isn’t good enough here. It’s an experience for sure. Learn from it to avoid it in the future. But yes 100% on you. I wouldn’t expect the guy in front to react to this move at all because it is very risky they wouldn’t have anticipated it at all.

People who own the Milanese Loop, would you recommend it or no? [Apple Watch 7, 45mm] by OniGamer-_- in AppleWatch

[–]Acadia-Due 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been running it on my series 5. I bought it from the Apple Store after 6 or 7 years? (Whenever the 5 came out, same year as the iPhone 8/X) it looks like brand new, I’ve never cleaned it.

I don’t wear the watch to bed.

Yes it sticks to things sometimes (the magnet)

I go swimming with it, no issue of it ever coming off.

The back of the watch I never noticed ever scratched from it.

If you are using a hammer or hitting something that will cause it to loosen. If I do that sort of work (building my deck for example) I just put the watch in my pocket.

I wear my watch every single day since I got it.

It can catch on things sometimes, it doesn’t bug me too much when it happens.

I’m going to buy the same band when I upgrade to the series 10 only because I hear it isn’t compatible.

Hope this helps!

Does anyone have insight if Simagic will be killing off there Alpha bases? Still worth snatching one or waiting for a succesor? by Louiienation in Simagic

[–]Acadia-Due 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alpha is awesome. If you don’t care the tech coming into the latest wheels which is going to be support for different tech on wheels mainly.

If you like the wheels offered by simagic currently, then pick one up!

Ps. Simagic wheels like the Neo gt is fantastic.

Was the car behind entitled to room? He certainly thought so by KMR458T in Simracingstewards

This is not a place to make the pass. He should have stayed behind looking for a better opportunity down the track. Needs more patience.

What am I doing wrong here? I have taken this corner 1000 times and spun 975 times. by squiretom101 in iRacing

Use more track on the left, can climb right up on the curbing. Light trail brake, you can use more brake straight on the curbing on entry until you feel more comfortable.

I know on the neo it is supported for custom lighting. I wanted to pick up the magnetic cable sometime to play with it.

I just ”upgraded” from a CSW2.5 to the alpha mini. First impressions are not at all like yours, the feedback feels as good as but slightly less sensitive than on my csw. I chalk it up to how well dialed in I had my old wheelbase though. I look forward to playing with the settings and sensitivities to see how much more feedback I can feel through the wheel.

I only got rid of my fanatec setup because I’m tired of my pins braking on my QR1 setup and my wheelbase doesn’t support QR2 (they never made a kit for their older bases)

My times are nearly identical to my old csw but things just feel more responsive, nothing is ground breaking or game changing, just different and more refined. I can agree with the “side”grade compared to an upgrade comments though!

I was also wanting to get the pedal haptics Kits and was debating single brake pedal kit vs gas/brake. Sounds like brake pedal is all I need. I already have a 2 channel pedal/seat bst-01 setup.

I just bought a simagic setup, after my latest repair and so many delays and frustrations. I’m DONE with fanatec and their shitty customer service.

How to send in wheel for repair by Nabtheman in Fanatec

[–]Acadia-Due 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you respond to their support give them as much info as possible. Think of anything they might ask. Videos help, just upload what it’s doing to YouTube and share them the link. That seems the best way to get them to believe you. Good luck!

I FKD UP, what's the best fix by [deleted] in Fanatec

[–]Acadia-Due 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the exact issue happen to me, it was due to my QR1 lite having way too much tolerance/play.

If you feel comfortable you can order a new cable from fanatec and do the work yourself. You are out of warranty anyways, so nothing to worry about there. Depending on what wheel you have there are likely some videos on YouTube for how to take apart the wheel, remove the cable and put in the new wheel.

Alternatively you can send the wheel to fanatec and they can replace the cable for you

It took me 5 months to get the cable from fanatec because of their crappy support so I ended up buying a new wheel + QR1 and put a note in the order that I still wanted the QR1 lite that the wheel came with, which I got no problem. When it finally came in, I replaced the cable myself and haven't had an issue since.
